• JORDAN DAVIS AND JULIA MICHAELS RELEASE NEW SONG “COOL ANYMORE.”

Jordan Davis has teamed up with GRAMMY-nominated artist Julia Michaels for a new collaboration titled “Cool Anymore.” Written by Jordan and Julia along with Nicolle Galyon, Ross Copperman and Emily Weisband, the track encourages listeners to let their guard down and just be themselves. Jordan and Julia also premiered a special video for “Cool Anymore” with YouTube today, Nov. 8; watch HERE. The video was directed by Eric Ryan Anderson, who shot Jordan’s previous videos for his back-to-back No.1 Platinum hits “Singles You Up” and “Take It From Me.”

“‘Cool Anymore’ is a song about not taking things too seriously,” says Jordan. “We spend a lot of time playing shows and it’s easy to get caught up in it, but this song is just a reminder to leave work at work. It’s a job. Enjoy it, go out to do the music thing but then come back and be a husband and a friend.”

“It’s just a fun, chill vibe that has a nice little groove to it and makes you smile and feel good,” adds Julia. “We’re lucky to be able to go home and let loose with the ones we love.”

(Audio below and previous audio from both Jordan and Julia here)

Jordan’s current single “Slow Dance In A Parking Lot” is approaching the Top 20 at country radio and is featured on his debut album, Home State, which has accumulated almost 1 billion streams worldwide. The Louisiana native recently announced his headlining Trouble Town Tour, which will kick off in Milwaukee, Wisc. on Jan. 10 before hiting over 20 additional markets including New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Denver withup-and-comers Kassi Ashton and Hailey Whitters on select dates. The tour earns its moniker from Jordan’s new song also titled “Trouble Town;” listen HERE.

Since bursting onto the scene, Jordan continues to impress critics and fans alike. Billboard notes, “from the looks and sounds of it, Jordan Davis is here for the long haul” while All Access says, “Jordan Davis is proving to us that he has no plans to slow down.” Jordan just wrapped opening for Old Dominion on their European tour following a direct support slot on their Make It Sweet Tour earlier this year.

GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter Julia Michaels continues to transform the pop music landscape through her identifiably honest lyrics exemplified by her triple-Platinum selling debut single “Issues.” As a songwriter, Julia has co-written 22 titles that have charted on the Billboard Hot 100, including two that rose to No. 1 and twelve that have hit the Top 40.  Earlier this year, Julia released Inner Monologue Part 1 and Inner Monologue Part 2, a series of critically acclaimed EPs. Michaels just embarked on her first-ever headlining tour, The Inner Monologue Tour, which follows previous tours with the likes of Maroon 5, Shawn Mendes, Niall Horan and P!NK.

Jordan Davis (Julia Michaels on Cool Anymore) OC: …part of it. :43
“When we started to writing this song (Cool Anymore) and kind of honed in on the idea and where we were going with it, pretty quick we decided to make a duet, write it as a duet and then just the topic of it of being able to just kind of be yourself and be vulnerable and be who you are onstage, offstage, whatever it is. If there’s anybody, if there’s an artist out there that is about as upfront and vulnerable as you can be, it’s Julia. You see it in her songwriting, you see that in pretty much all of her music, she’s very honest. And really, I feel like the root of this song is being who you are, and I feel like that’s exactly what Julia Michaels is, and (I’m) really excited that she wanted to be a part of it.”

  • ADAM HAMBRICK RELEASES AMAZON ORIGINAL COVER OF ALAN JACKSON’S CLASSIC TUNE “MIDNIGHT IN MONTGOMERY.”

Adam Hambrick recently released his new Amazon Original cover of Alan Jackson’s classic hit, “Midnight In Montgomery,” only available to stream and purchase on Amazon Music. Listen HERE. Written by Alan Jackson and Don Sampson, Adam’s modern take on the mid-tempo ballad features a haunting echo of steel guitars, as Adam’s vocals shine over the building instrumentation and rhythmic drumbeat. Alan Jackson is a major musical influence of Adam’s, and he explains his process of recording “Midnight In Montgomery” in a statement.

“I’ve always been crazy about “Midnight In Montgomery. When Amazon asked me to be a part of this program, it immediately came to mind as a song I would want to run with. I went into the studio with Andrew DeRoberts and we sort of went nuts. We wanted to make it haunting and soulful, while still hanging on to some of the signature musical pieces of the original. In short, the finished product hits hard and I love it.”

Prior to recording his new Amazon Original, Hambrick was featured as a 2019 Amazon Music Artist to Watch in January, and performed at Amazon Music’s Country Heat showcase at the Country Radio Seminar earlier this year. Amazon Music listeners can find Hambrick’s cover on the playlist, “Introducing…” highlighting emerging artists across genres. Customers can also simply ask, “Alexa play the Amazon Original by Adam Hambrick” in the Amazon app for iOS and Android and on Alexa-enabled devices. Adam Hambrick’s cover of “Midnight In Montgomery” can also be heard in Ultra HD on Amazon Music HD, Amazon Music’s new, premium tier of lossless music. In addition to the new song, Amazon Music listeners can access hundreds of Amazon Originals featuring both emerging and established artists across numerous genres, available to stream and purchase only on Amazon Music.

  • CLARE DUNN “STEPS INTO CHRISTMAS” WITH NEW HOLIDAY RECORDING.

It’s been a busy year for Clare Dunn, who released three new recordings — including a genre-bending, R&B-influenced remix of her signature song, “My Love” — last month. With the winter holidays now approaching, she remains as hardworking and prolific as ever, offering fans an early holiday gift in the form of her newest digital single: “Step Into Christmas.”

Originally written and released by Elton John, whose own version became an international hit in the mid-1970s, “Step Into Christmas” mixes holiday cheer with what has now become Clare Dunn’s signature blend of country-rock sass and spice.

Produced by the front woman herself and recorded in a single weekend with one-pass vocals, the song is available everywhere beginning today (November 8th).

“I remember when we were kids, waking up early, exchanging gifts with my sister and parents, then us all bundling up and going out and taking care of cattle,” says Dunn, a native of Two Buttes, Colorado (population 42) who grew up working the family farm.

“By the time we came back in we were all frozen, trying to shake off the cold, scraping snow off our boots and jeans, and waiting for the ice to melt out of clumps of our hair while we packed up all the food into pickups and got ready to make the 50-mile drive down a dirt road to my grandparents’ house in Oklahoma. Our biggest tradition is just being together, whether it was in Colorado, Oklahoma, or even in Nashville sometimes now. Being together is what our holidays are all about.”

“Step Into Christmas” arrives on the heels of one of Dunn’s busiest months. After unveiling her collaboration with hip-hop artist INGRID on the October 4th remix of “My Love,” Dunn released two new singles, “Gold to Glitter” and “Money’s All Gone,” on October 18th. Full of masterful hooks and guitar grit, the songs were a hit not only with her audience, but also taste-making publications like Rolling Stone Country.

“Years after playing a string of North American arenas alongside Bob Seger, Clare Dunn channels her former tourmate’s highway-speed rock & roll with this guitar-driven anthem,” the magazine wrote of “Money’s All Gone,” calling the song “a tribute to teenage kicks and carefree nights — on a budget.”

Meanwhile, Dunn will continue touring through the beginning of Thanksgiving week, with upcoming shows that include an appearance at Des Moines’ Whiskey Fest, an arena show in Virginia with Chris Janson, and a Wisconsin performance with William Michael Morgan.

It probably makes things harder for everybody else, but it’s just so nice to just be heartfelt and celebrate, you know, women in country music. So, I can’t imagine there not being some of those in there. But, you know, I feel like it is heartfelt.”
