  • LUKE BRYAN’S “CATCHY” TUNE HAS FANS DANCING IN THE AISLES.

Luke Bryan is closing in on the top of the country charts with his latest smash, “Knockin’ Boots,” a fun, summertime song that seems to have fans dancing in the aisles at his concerts.

“I think one of the most things that I’m hearing is it’s very, very, very catchy. I think it’s just a fun, catchy song,” says Luke. “I like to think of some songs as are you gonna want to be out on a boat dancing and having fun out on the lake. It’s one of those songs. You know, it’s a big ole fun uptempo, and every and then when I find the right kind of uptempo, certainly on the heels of a summer tour – the Sunset Repeat Tour – it’s gonna fun having it out there and watching the fans dancing in the aisles.”

Luke takes his Sunset Repeat Tour – featuring Cole Swindell and Jon Langston – to Toronto on Thursday (September 5th).

Audio / Luke Bryan says his summer smash, "Knockin' Boots," is a catchy song and fun to play on the road.

  • KEITH URBAN COVERS TAYLOR SWIFT’S “LOVER.”

Keith Urban is in love…with the new Taylor Swift song “Lover.” The reigning CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year recently raved about the superstar’s tune on social media, to which she responded, “ARE YOU KIDDING ME THIS IS THE NICEST THING ANYONE HAS EVER SAID – you’re just the best and so kind to say this!” followed by several emojis expressing  her feelings.

Fast forward to a couple of days ago, Keith covered the song “Lover” live in concert. He said of his performance, “Every now and then you hear a song that you love and wish you’d written…. and a HUGE thx to my band as well- we didn’t get to rehearse so…. this is us fully winging it.” – KU #Lover

Keith is currently making his way up the country charts with “We Were.”

  • CAYLEE HAMMACK DELIVERS NEW INFECTIOUS GROOVE “PRECIATCHA” AVAILABLE NOW.

“One of the most exciting new talents coming out of Nashville’s country scene” (Rolling Stone), Capitol Records Nashville’s Caylee Hammack released more new music for fans today, sharing the reflective new track “Preciatcha,” available to listen here. Starting out with a smooth intro reminiscing on a past love, the singer/songwriter/producer reveals her gratitude for lessons from a broken relationship. Co-written and co-produced by Hammack with Laura Veltz and Jordan Schmidt, “Preciatcha” has a fiery, groove-driven chorus showcasing her subtle word play, singular imagery and wide set of stylistic influences that make her unique. Critics have been quick to spotlight Hammack’s craft with HITS Magazine declaring “she has created a kind of country music that’s larger—and brighter—than real life.”

“My mother once told me that every hand you hold is a lesson or a blessing,” shared Hammack. “If you find good love, you hold on to it. If you find something else by accident, learn what you must from that experience and move on. ‘Preciatcha’ is about searching for a silver lining in a storm. It’s my song for the broken hearts that deserved better but didn’t get it.”

“Preciatcha” joins Hammack’s breakout single “Family Tree,” also co-written and co-produced by Hammack, that is known for its “soulful vocals and descriptive lyrics [that] shine” (Billboard) and has been praised by CMT as “the first of many signature songs to come from Hammack.” “Family Tree” was the most-added single at Country radio by a female artist in over three years. Hammack also recently shared “Just Friends” with fans, a new track heralded by Variety as “boldly aflame” and an “amusingly feisty single that uses traditional country and distorted alt-rock as twin fuels for the fire.” Hammack is set to bring her firebrand live set to Seven Peaks Music Festival this weekend, from there she will join opening slots for Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert.

    Background on Caylee Hammack:
Caylee Hammack constantly felt like a self-described “hippie in a hillbilly town” in her tiny hometown of Ellaville, Georgia. “I used to pray every night as a kid, ‘God, just please make me different. Don’t make me like everyone else,’” she remembers. Hammack is indeed refreshingly different. And at only 25, she has already packed a full life into just a few years, using fake IDs to get gigs around South Georgia, turning down a college scholarship for a love that burned out just a few months later, sleeping in her car when she arrived in Nashville and then losing her home in an electrical fire. “My dad has always said that the most beautiful and strongest things are forged in the fire,” she says. “Iron is nothing until you work it in a fire. Glass cannot be blown without intense heat. You can’t make anything beautiful or strong without a little heat.”

“It’s been a while since I’ve put new music out,” shares Parker. “’Pretty Heart’ is for everyone who has ever come out to support us on the road, listened to and shared my music. All I have ever wanted is to write Country songs and sing Country music, and I’m excited for the opportunity to expose even more folks to my music.”

“Pretty Heart” was co-written by McCollum and Randy Montana and was produced by Jon Randall, a GRAMMY-winning producer and multi-platinum songwriter who’s worked with Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, and Brad Paisley.

    About Parker McCollum:
A singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and dedicated road warrior, Parker McCollum began building a following in his native Texas with 2015’s The Limestone Kid. The album track “Meet You in The Middle” became a hit on Texas’ regional radio chart — no small feat for an independent, 22-year-old musician — but it was the album’s widely-acclaimed follow-up, Probably Wrong, that helped Parker find national success. Compared to John Mayer and Jason Isbell by Rolling Stone, Parker supported the album with a string of sold-out shows, bringing record-breaking crowds to venues like San Angelo’s RiverStage and a sold-out Billy Bob’s (May 2019) along the way.

Born in Conroe, TX, and currently based in Austin, the 27-year-old entrepreneurially-spirited artist bridges the gap between Texas’ homegrown music scene and Nashville’s country-industry headquarters. His songwriting, which has been hailed by The Austin Chronicle for “carrying on the traditions of Texas music without pretension or referring to pickup trucks,” earned him a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Nashville in May 2018 and a recording deal with Universal Music Group Nashville in June 2019.

Parker McCollum (Pretty Heart) OC: …chase this dream. :43
“‘Pretty Heart’ was a song, er hook that I had had and a melody I’d had for a long time that I had forgotten about. I was scrolling back through my Instagram one night, looking for something one night and I had found a video of me singing it that I had posted forever ago. I was like, ‘Man, how did I forget about that?’ I think that was the day before I was flying up here (Nashville) to write with my buddy Randy Montana. I was like, ‘Maybe he’d like that idea.’ I took it to him, and he just fell in love with it and that was like two or three hours that we just cranked it out. We were like, ‘Man! That was it.’ All those songs come from very real-life experiences – good and bad choices and decisions that I’ve made on my own. But they’re all just about past relationships and giving those up to chase this dream.”

  • DIERKS BENTLEY RETURNS TO BUENA VISTA, COLORADO FOR HIS SECOND ANNUAL SEVEN PEAKS FESTIVAL.

Dierks Bentley is returning to Buena Vista, Colorado for his second annual Seven Peaks Festival. Luke Bryan, Maren Morris, Jon Pardi, Caylee Hammack, Mitchell Tenpenny, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Ryan Hurd, Clare Dunn, Rita Wilson, Larkin Poe, Steep Canyon Rangers, The War and Treaty, Tenille Townes and Caylee Hammack. In addition, Friday’s HOT COUNTRY NIGHT, which was an instant highlight in the festival’s inaugural year, will host Travis Tritt, Tracy Lawrence, Diamond Rio and Deana Carter with a special performance by Dierks’ own Hot Country Knights.

Actually, Dierks is already there and is awaiting some of his friends who are coming in early to just hang out with him.

Established in 2018, fans traveled from 49 states and as far as Australia for the inaugural Seven Peaks Music Festival. The three-day, two-stage adventure instantly captured the hearts and attention of fans and artists for the festival’s ethereal, mountainous setting, as well as the unique and thoughtful lineup. With Forbes noting “what sets the festival apart is its location,” as Rolling Stone praised the “community-first, play-every-set take on a country festival,” Seven Peaks is returning for a second year as it continues to showcase “authenticity in every component” (PEOPLE). In addition to the breathtaking setting and first-class lineup, fans can expect multiple fringe activities across the weekend including the return of the Somewhere On A Beach Party and Late Night At Whiskey Row, with AYDAMN spinning all the fan-favorites. ATV Tours, inflatable kayaking, whitewater rafting and more will also be available.

Audio / DIERKS BENTLEY SAYS HIS SEVEN PEAKS FESTIVAL IS REALLY SPECIAL FOR A VARIETY OF REASONS.

Dierks Bentley (Seven Peaks 2nd year) 1 OC: …people. :45
“This festival is, the word special gets overused, but it is really special. One of the ways you can tell a festival is really good is when the artists want to come back and play it again. Last year, Miranda Lambert, she was supposed to fly off, but she actually stayed an extra day because she was having so much fun being there and everyone who was there last year wanted to come out again. You’re talking about year two. I can’t announce who’s coming, but the festival is early on, so I can’t pay some of these huge prices that some of these guys get, but I have some friends coming out [this year] that are actually doing it for a reduced rate because they just want to be there. They’re like, ‘Man! I’ll do whatever it takes. I just want to be there. It sounds like a vacation. It sounds so fun.’ So, that’s a big tell. The fact that we had fans from 49 states says a lot. This year is gonna be crazy attendance-wise, because I know every person is going to tell at least one or two people to come with ’em.”

Dierks Bentley (Seven Peaks 2nd year lineup) OC: …a lot of fun. 1:21
“So, this year, what makes our festival unique I think is, I love three types of music. I love commercial country music, which I do, I love ‘90s country music, and I love the bluegrass, acoustic, red-dirt kind of scene, and I hate to toss it all into one thing, that different side. So, we start off with ‘90s country night, and this year, Deana Carter is starting off. ‘Strawberry Wine’ had a big influence on my life and I love that song. I remember exactly where I was the first time I heard it. Tracy Lawrence is going to be there, unbelievable. Diamond Rio and Travis Tritt. My band and I will be on the side of the stage for every one of those performances, like leaning all the way in. And of course, the Hot Country Knights are headlining because we get to, it’s my festival. I don’t know how we’re going to go on after Travis Tritt, hopefully he will have left by then or won’t be watching, because I don’t know if we can do our ‘90s thing with these guys watching us. Although last year, Sawyer Brown, they loved it. They wore Hot Country Knights T-shirts on their set. And the next night, Saturday night, is headlined by Luke Bryan, which is great. And Maren Morris, which we’ve collaborated a bunch together and I love her to death. Mitchell Tenpenny’s there, Ryan Hurd, and a new artist Caylee Hammack who I’m just a huge fan of. And then Sunday it’s us with Jon Pardi, Tenille Townes. She’s like my favorite singer at all right now. She’s so good and such a great hang. Nitty Gritty Dirt Band which’ll be killer.. And then we have a whole another Whiskey Row stage, which is gonna be another… it’s all for me, really. It’s just people I love listening to. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”

  • JORDAN DAVIS GIVES A LESSON ON HOW TO EAT CRAWFISH IN THE LATEST EPISODE OF HIS “HOME STATE STORIES.”

Jordan Davis just released the latest installment of his “Home State Stories” video series on Tuesday (August 27th). Titled “Crawfish,” the Louisiana native gives a how-to on how to eat the state’s staple…crawfish.

Jordan is currently climbing the country charts with his latest song, “Slow Dance in a Parking Lot.” He’s out with Rascal Flatts on The Summer Playlist Tour, which makes a stop Friday (August 30th) in Dallas, Texas. For more information on his tour dates, go to jordandavisofficial.com.

  • ERIC CHURCH RELEASES NEW SINGLE, “MONSTERS.”

Eric Church has released his new song, “Monsters,” which is the follow-up for his recent No. 1 smash, “Some of It.” The song, which he co-wrote with frequent collaborator Jeff Hyde, was written after his son Boone asked him to make it a little “brighter” in his room one evening.

“That stuck with me that’s kind of all he needed was a little more light,” recalls Eric. “And I think that when I wrote that song, there was that subconscious thing that was there the entire time, and then Vegas happened and right after Vegas, we got together with Jeff and we started talking about all this stuff and the song, it happened so fast; the way songs are supposed to happen when they’re that kind of song. It just happened. And it will always be a song that I think about where I was at that time in my life, where my kids were, and how just that little bit of light, is what made the difference. That’s the key, that’s where the second verse goes to and the overall theme of monsters is it’s just that much, you know? It’s not ‘this much.’ It’s not a big blinding light. It’s this much light that made the difference and that little nugget is what I carry with me on that.”

Eric will resume the fall leg of his Double Down Tour September 13th and 14th in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Eric Church (Monsters) OC: …me on that. 1:15
“I think monsters, after Vegas, became just more real to me.  More, I don’t know. There was a specific night I can remember going into my oldest son, Boone’s, room, and his closet light, or the bathroom light, the dimmer wasn’t right. It wasn’t bright enough and he wanted it brighter. And when I went in and made it a little brighter, he said, ‘That’s good. That’s good. That’s perfect.’ And it wasn’t much but that stuck with me — this was pre-writing the song — but that stuck with me that’s kind of all he needed was a little more light. And I think that when I wrote that song, there was that subconscious thing that was there the entire time, and then Vegas happened and right after Vegas, we got together with Jeff and we started talking about all this stuff and the song, it happened so fast; the way songs are supposed to happen when they’re that kind of song. Brothers Osborne (CMA Duo 2018) OC: …awesome family. 1:12
JOHN: “The Duo category can go any which way. I mean, you look at us, comparatively speaking, we’re kind of maybe somewhere in the middle in terms of the numbers and I don’t know (laughs) what it is. I don’t really know why we’re holding these up here and it’s super rad and I’m definitely going to be putting this on my mantle, but you look at somebody like Dan+ Shay and I just love to see good people win and succeed and people that work really hard at what they do and they’re kind to people along the way and they’re immensely talented. I think one of the most amazing pieces of advice I was ever given was to work hard and be nice to people, and I think that’s why we have these. We work really hard and we try to be respectful to everyone around us. Dan + Shay are the same way, and also they have HUGE songs out on the radio too. They actually have a step above us on that, and we just love those guys. They’re very sweet. They’re very supportive. One of the things that I love about the country music genre is that it’s a family and we’re all really, really close. We’re all a bunch of misfits thrown together. We’re all a little different, but we love one another and respect one another. I’m just honored for the both of us to be a part of this awesome family.”

Chris Stapleton (CMA 2018) OC: …grateful for it. :30
“These things are always fantastic to win, but when you get nominated or invited to these parties, in my estimation, you’ve already won and you’ve already gotten to be far beyond anything, you know, anybody who’s a musician could ever dream of getting to do, and we get to do that every day, we get to live it every day. As far as thinking about going into anything, I’m always genuinely surprised to win anything, and I’m always grateful for it.”

Carrie Underwood (CMA Female win) OC: …means a lot. :38
“I think I’m still in shock to be honest. When we were making this album, I would be lying if I said I didn’t want awards because I’m a competitive person and I love these. I love these shows. I love the CMAs. I have such respect for this show and this organization, but when you’re making an album, you want it to be better. You want to push yourself as an artist. For me, with all the ups and downs we’ve been through, plus making an album on top of all of that, I mean this one definitely means a lot.”

Keith Urban (Entertainer win 2018) OC: …feeling. :28
“It’s an indescribable feeling to get that tonight, because I love playing, I love entertaining, I love putting on shows. I started playing guitar when I was six, so playing, and I came up playing in the clubs – four hours a night, five hours a night, five nights a week. I wasn’t writing songs. I was just schlepping my gear and playing cover tunes and learning my craft. To get to play three or four hours a night of original material is the most extraordinary feeling.”

Dierks Bentley (Burning Man) OC: …really well. :24
“I’d had this song for about two years. It’s been a song I’ve been holding on for a little while. I just love that song. I could really relate to the lyrics. In the studio, Jedd Hughes put down this great guitar part, and I thought, ‘Man, John would be really cool on that,’ and then, obviously TJ has a, I love his singing. Great voice. I would’ve asked them to be on it regardless, I really would have, but the fact they’re on tour with us just makes it all that sweeter. Those guys are the perfect group to do it with and they definitely took it to a new spot and now we get to sing it every night on stage, so it worked out really well.”
