I mean, we have so many 15, 16, 17-year-olds that are unbelievable, and watching them handle the pressure and have fun and the tears and the joy and the smile and all that. So, we’re loving it. We love the role – me and Kay and Lionel and Ryan – we’re having a great time doing this. If we weren’t having a good time, it would change the whole dynamic. • TRAVIS DENNING’S “AFTER A FEW” SHOWS ALL SIDES OF HIM AS AN ARTIST.

Travis Denning is a fan of all types of music, and he feels all of the different musical influences can be found in his music, especially his latest song, “After a Few.”

“I’m a songwriter at heart. I love telling stories. I try to be as goofy and funny as possible at all points in my life, but really, I’m a huge lover of music,” says Travis. “That’s probably the first thing that I ever fell in love with was loving all kinds of music. For ‘After a Few,’ I hear my love for the Allman Brothers Band, I hear my love for AC/DC and Motorhead, and then I hear my love for Halsey and Stevie Wonder and Ariana Grande and all this pop and stuff and just take all that and put it in one song to where it said I still wanna tell you a story, I still want to get on a tailgate and pick up my guitar and be able sell you a song, but I love to play guitar. Here’s my guitar playing, and I was influenced by all this kind of music, here’s this melody that’s probably different. For me, ‘After a Few’ is probably more indicative of what I want to bring to the table throughout my career.”

Some of his influences include the Allman Brothers, AC/DC, Stevie Wonder, Motorhead and the Marshall Tucker Band.

Travis will take his guitar and his songs to Bristol, Tennessee when he performs at the Bristol Motor Speedway August 17th.

Audio / Travis Denning says his current song "After a Few" represents him as an artist.

  • CAYLEE HAMMACK TAPPED TO PERFORM AT ROLLING STONE’S NINTH ANNUAL “ROLLING STONE LIVE: CHICAGO PARTY” THIS WEEKEND FOR LOLLAPOLOOZA.

“One of country’s most promising newcomers” (Variety), Capitol Records Nashville’s Caylee Hammack has been tapped as the only country artist set to perform at Rolling Stone’s ninth annual Rolling Stone Live: Chicago Party Saturday for Lollapolooza weekend. Already noticed for “her wildly dysfunctional, highly hysterical, ultimately loving ‘Family Tree’” that “brings a gospel flavor to Dixie Chicks’ freewheeling take on life at the fringes” (HITS Daily Double), the bill includes Pink Sweat$, Harry Hudson and Jade Bird tomorrow as well as Hammack, Japanese Breakfast, Normani and Hayley Kiyoko for today’s “Morning Sessions” from the not-yet-opened Dance Studio. For more information, visit https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/9th-annual-rolling-stone-live-chicago-party-lollapalooza-863091/

Hammack’s commanding stage presence compliments the songwriter and producer’s all-in approach to music, evident in her current single “Family Tree.” The “exultant” (CMT) track debuted as the most-added single at Country radio by a female artist in over three years and has instantly caught the attention of headliners Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert, whom she will hit the road with this summer between sets at some of country music’s biggest festivals including Watershed Music Festival, Seven Peaks Music Festival and more. Fans can watch new performances of “Family Tree” and “Just Friends,” which has her “sounding like the second coming of Dolly before she goes grunge” (Variety) in newly released VEVO acoustic Live Performances HERE (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kmIm4CJshc) and HERE (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hz4xUmaCXKU).

Caylee is making her way up the charts with her song, “Family Tree.”

  • DIERKS BENTLEY ADOPTS A NEW PUPPY DURING HIS APPEARANCE ON THE TODAY SHOW.

While Dierks Bentley performed on the Today Show this week, he found himself the proud owner of a new puppy. The father of three children and two furbabies already, Dierks was part of a segment about shelter dogs. After peering into the sweet brown eyes of the border collie mix named “Goose” and lovingly holding him and petting him, Dierks couldn’t resist and decided to adopt him.

“I’ve been texting back-and-forth with my wife and kids,” he said during a conversation with Jenna Bush Hager and Willie Geist, while the dog’s adoption paperwork was being taken care of. “They really want a third dog. My wife for her birthday said, ‘All I want is a third dog.'”

“I feel a connection,” he explained. “I feel it’s meant to be.”

The musician said that his three children were already “jumping up and down” with excitement, and so they have decided to fly to Jones Beach for Dierks’ next show to meet the new member of the Bentley family.

  • CAYLEE HAMMACK TEAMS UP WITH VEVO FOR AN IN-STUDIO STRIPPED DOWN PERFORMANCE OF “FAMILY TREE.”

At 19, Caylee Hammack got a phone call out of the blue from Luke Bryan, who’d heard her music and urged her to leave small-town Georgia behind. You don’t argue with advice like that, so she threw her clothes in some trash bags and headed to Nashville. So after proving herself in Music City’s Lower Broadway bars by covering everyone from Miranda Lambert to Tom Petty, she started getting noticed. Now, with songs like her single, “Family Tree,” and “Just Friends,”  she’s really getting noticed. VEVO invited her in for some stripped-down performances of a couple of her songs, including “Family Tree.” Check it out below.

  • JORDAN DAVIS CELEBRATES HIS RECENT NO. 1 SONG, “TAKE IT FROM ME.”

Jordan Davis celebrated the chart-topping success of his smash hit, “Take It From Me,” along with co-writers Jason Gantt and his brother Jacob Davis during a party in Nashville earlier this week.

It was a close call, but Jordan and his team were going to celebrate the song’s achievement regardless if it topped the charts or not. It meant the world to him to be able to write a song with his brother and take it to No. 1. The two were actually able to celebrate together when finding each other in Charleston the day hit the top of the charts.

“I knew this was going to be a close call. To be honest with you, I really thought that we were going to stop at No. 2,” says Jordan. “And I remember being in contact with Jacob throughout the night. I actually went to a hotel, and I was staying there by myself because I was flying to Charleston, and I already promised my wife, ‘Hey, you know what? Whatever is gonna happen, we are gonna celebrate this song. It’s been an amazing run. My team did an amazing job in fighting for this song. They knew how special it was for me.’ I started drinking. I remember I texted Jason and was like, ‘Hey man. We got it.’ I called Jake (Jacob), and he was ‘bout half-way asleep. (JACOB: ‘No, I was asleep.’) Well, he was asleep. I woke him up and told him. The next morning, I flew to Charleston and we were actually able to go to breakfast before he flew out of Charleston and I landed. We were actually able to go to breakfast and celebrate it.”

Jordan is currently climbing the country charts with his latest song, “Slow Dance in a Parking Lot.”

Audio / Prior to his No. 1 party for “Take It From Me,” Jordan Davis talks about when he learned the song went to the top of the country charts and how he was able to celebrate the success with one of his co-writers, his brother Jacob Davis.
