• LADY ANTEBELLUM GIVE FANS A LOOK BACK AT THEIR AMAZING YEAR.

Since relaunching in January, Lady Antebellum has made sure to “cement their place as legends of Country” (Vulture) following their return to the airwaves after taking time to nourish their personal lives and pursue GRAMMY nominated and winning solo projects. To rewind the year alongside Lady A and their biggest fans, check out the video below.

As they introduced “the most groove-driven song they’ve ever recorded” with “You Look Good,” their moment propelled with the announce of Lady A’s “must see” (Rolling Stone) YOU LOOK GOOD WORLD TOUR spanning over 60 shows. Simultaneously, Lady A kicked off the year with the announcement of their sixth studio album HEART BREAK (Capitol Nashville). Honing in on the melodious foundation that first brought Lady A together, the trio headed to the West Coast for the television debut of the hit single on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, before stopping by Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Dancing With The Stars. Additionally, “the expert level of musicianship on display during the 2017 ACM Awards made this performance a knockout” (Billboard) as well as a highlight of the night.

Leading into the anticipated release of HEART BREAK, which included eleven songs penned by the trio and was produced by busbee, Lady A continued to offer fans a taste of new music during their first-ever SXSW appearance and were also hand-selected by NPR‘s “First Listen” as it “served their native genre well, but also is irresistible to broader audiences” (NPR). Before earning their fifth debut at the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart with HEART BREAK in June, Lady A put their fans at the forefront during release week with CMA Music Festival activities including three packed shows in a 360-degree visual experience and national television appearances including Good Morning America’s 2017 Summer Concert Series, Late Night Starring Jimmy Fallon, CBS This Morning and Live from the Artists Den. The “buoyant album” (Entertainment Weekly) immediately skyrocketed to the Top 10 on all-genre iTunes charts in 15 countries around the world and the new collection landed on multiple mid-year “best of lists” including Rolling Stone, The Tennessean and Taste of Country.

Using their “renewed energy” (People) the group returned to the road in May on their YOU LOOK GOOD WORLD TOUR featuring special guests Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young, as they introduced fans to “a fresh twist with the addition of a live horn section” (CMT) into a set already packed with mega-hits. Throughout their North American leg, “fans were happy to know it was like no time has passed” (Omaha World-Herald) before the trio wrapped Entertainment Weekly and Rolling Stone’s “must-see summer tour” to a packed hometown crowd at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena in September. Concluding with dates overseas, the tour was dubbed “one of the best nights of mainstream Nashville music that the UK’s seen” (The Digital Fix) as “they put on a polished show for a rapturous crowd in London,” (The Guardian).

  • GEORGE STRAIT RETURNS TO LAS VEGAS OVER SUPER BOWL WEEKEND.

“We said from the beginning that we would listen to the fans and follow what they want,” said Strait, who has won every honor in the format including inclusion in the coveted Country Music Hall of Fame. “Fan support is just as strong now as it was when we started; and we are responding to that interest by adding shows in 2018.”

Strait previously announced two 2018 shows including June 3 at Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas, (tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 3 at 10:00 AM/CT); and June 1 and 2 at BOK Center in Tulsa, OK (tickets for the newly added second show on June 1 are on sale Friday, Oct. 20). With an unmatched 60 singles hitting the top of the charts – more than any other artist in any genre – during the span of his 30-year career, Strait is the undeniable “King of Country Music.” He has collected 33 Platinum or multi-Platinum-selling albums, more than any country artist and third across all genres behind only the Beatles and Elvis Presley. Strait is the only act in history to have a Top 10 hit every year for over three decades and has sold nearly 70 million albums and earned more than 60 major entertainment industry awards including induction in the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2006.

In 2014, he shattered the North American indoor concert attendance record by drawing 104,793 concertgoers to his The Cowboy Rides Away Tour finale at AT&T Stadium in Dallas. Strait performed six sold-out shows at T-Mobile Arena in 2016 as part of his Strait to Vegas exclusive concert series, extending his limited engagement into 2017 with an additional 10 shows including his wildly popular, sold-out 2 Nights of Number 1’s

Strait has reimagined touring with his shows at the T-Mobile Arena and developed a new musical narrative to connect with fans on his terms and create concert experiences that stay fresh and compelling.

  • TYMINSKI COMPARES THE LIGHT AND DARK ON HIS FORTHCOMING ALBUM, SOUTHERN GOTHIC.

Tyminski releases his album Southern Gothic, Friday (October 20th). The collection of 13 songs, produced by Jesse Frasure, began when he was writing songs for other artists, but realized he wanted them for himself.

“I feel like the light and dark in this record is truly my journey, my personal journey just in life,” says Tyminski. “I mean, everyone I think can at least understand the struggle between light and dark. I made a reference a while ago, you always feel that whisper from each side of your shoulder, someone saying yeah do it, no don’t do it. I think it’s just, I don’t know if it’s that I have an enormous struggle with that in my life but it’s something that I’m aware of. I try to make sure that I understand what the right voice is. I try to make sure that I don’t make quick decisions.”

Dan Tyminski, who has been a member of Alison Krauss and Union Station for 25 years, co-wrote all of the album’s 13 songs with some of Nashville’s best tunesmiths, including Sarah Buxton ( “Stupid Boy”) and Josh Kear (“American Honey”).

I try to make sure that I don’t make quick decisions. That I – light and dark, in my opinion, sometimes can look very similar. You don’t necessarily know it’s the light hitting you when it’s hitting you, and sometimes the other way around, you don’t know it’s dark hitting you when it’s hitting you. It can feel good but it’s still dark. That comes out in my writing. When I write, I think I write from that perspective that there are underlying truths to everything that are absolute.”

“I heard Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top, I read an interview with him one time where he said he always just tried to make music that he would want to listen to, and I think that is the best kind of litmus test for what you want to record or make. And I’m a big fan of albums too, so I always like things that kind of work together in a pot.”
