  • MADDIE AND TAE WERE BLOWN AWAY THE FIRST TIME THEY HEARD “HEART THEY DIDN’T BREAK.”

Maddie & Tae are sharing the brand-new track, “Heart They Didn’t Break,” which goes for adds on Monday (September 18th). The song’s lyrics tell a story of true friendship in times of heartbreak, as the pair take turns on lead vocals and weave in their signature harmonies. Written by Benjy Davis, Anna Vaus and Ryan Beaver, the song is produced by Corey Crowder.

After hearing “Heart They Didn’t Break” for the first time, Tae knew the song fit them perfectly. “It did smack us right in the face the first time we heard it,” she recalls. “We were in like a pitch-meeting kind of style room, and they played it, and as soon as the hook hit – ‘friends that are there to fix the heart they didn’t break’ – Maddie and I looked at each other like, ‘Ohhhhh, that’s us! That’s you for me and that’s me for you! How have we not thought of this before?’ But at that time, we weren’t actively cutting. So, it was something that hit home for us, but didn’t go in the studio right away to cut it. But whenever we had started talking about songs for this next project and kind of what we were lacking, I texted our publisher and I was like, ‘What is that friendship song? I can’t remember the name. I just know it’s a friendship song and we need it.’ And then we went in the studio, and I was like, ‘How about I take the second verse?’ And it just kind of all happened so organically and meant to be, for sure.”

Tae has been doing the media rounds herself, as her duo partner, Maddie Font, gave birth to son Forrest Henry on September 9th.

The pair have notched another CMA Duo of the Year nomination, and they are set to perform at Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California in April 2024.

  • SAM WILLIAMS HONORS GRANDFATHER HANK WILLIAMS’ LEGACY WITH HAUNTING RENDITION OF “I’M SO LONESOME I COULD CRY.”

Today, Nashville singer/songwriter Sam Williams celebrates country pioneer and grandfather Hank Williams’ legacy and 100th birthday with a soothing rendition of “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry.” In true Sam Williams fashion, his beautiful voice is laced with hints of sorrow, vulnerability, and acceptance.

Listen to “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry” HERE

Over soft acoustic guitar chords, Williams sings, “Hear that lonesome whippoorwill / He sounds too blue to fly / The midnight train is whining low / I’m so lonesome, I could cry.”

“This song is special to me in many ways. I have always been hesitant to touch recording my grandfather’s songs, as there’s a sacredness to them. I wouldn’t want to do them injustice. ‘I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry’ has always been one of my favorites of his catalog,” Sam shares. “The release coinciding with his centennial birthday is a bittersweet happy birthday gift to the man I never knew that everyone seems to know. It is a reclamation of my name, my destiny in my family’s legacy, and a statement to country music. History and homage, respect, and reinvention, tattered and stolen coattails; I am a most honorable mention.”

In 2021, Williams released his debut LP Glasshouse Children, which received rave reviews from Rolling Stone, Music Row, and more. Holler Country hailed, “This almost faultless debut from 22-year-old Sam Williams has so many fine collaborations and great songs that it’s certainly been worth the wait,” while Associated Press added, “the handful of slow-paced reflective songs fit [Sam’s] own voice and vision nicely.”

Following incredible performances at CMA Fest this summer, the third-generation country music star is currently working on his next album expected in 2024.

Tomorrow, Sam returns to the Grand Ole Opry for a special performance. Gary Mule Deer, Logan Ledger, NEEDTOBREATHE, and more are set to perform. Tickets are available HERE.

Hosted by the Country Music Hall of Fame, Williams will also perform at Hank’s 100th: A Concert in Celebration of Hank Williams, presented by Spotify, on September 21. In celebration of what would’ve been his 100th birthday, this concert will feature a diverse representation of the Americana community— Suzy Bogguss, Laura Cantrell, Della Mae, Rodney Crowell, Brennen Leigh, Delbert McClinton, Charlie McCoy, Chuck Mead, Wendy Moten, Sam Williams, and more to be announced—performing interpretations of Williams classics in various styles, from honky-tonk to bluegrass to rock to R&B. For more information on the program, go HERE.

The grandson of country pioneer Hank Williams and the son of outlaw legend Hank Jr., Sam Williams is the latest in a long line of American originals. He sings with his own singular voice, and he writes in his own singular style, fusing gut-wrenching honesty with plainspoken poetics and raw vulnerability with deep empathy. With another album on the way, Sam Williams continues to prove that he is making a legacy for himself that is completely his own.

Last week, Brothers Osborne, the reigning CMA Vocal Duo of the Year, were nominated again in this category. They are five-time winners of this award and have six CMA awards in total. John Osborne of the band was additionally nominated in the Album of the Year category for his work as producer on Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville.

For their self-titled release, the brothers enlisted Mike Elizondo (Sheryl Crow, Turnstile, Dr. Dre, Twenty One Pilots, Lin-Manuel Miranda) to produce, entrusting him with curating his own band of studio musicians, including Paul McCartney’s drummer Abe Laboriel Jr. behind the kit. Miranda Lambert provides the LP’s sole guest vocals on “We Ain’t Good At Breaking Up,” after co-writing the song with Brothers Osborne and Jesse Frasure.

The brothers co-wrote every song on the album, including their chart-climbing current single “Nobody’s Nobody,” penned with Elizondo and Kendell Marvel, capturing a message of inclusion and acceptance.

Brothers Osborne will celebrate the release with four newly-announced tour dates in October, performing in New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., and Nashville. The duo shares, “these four shows will be very special and all will be different, showcasing music from our new album, and of course some of your old favorites.” Tickets for all dates on sale now here. Members of the band’s The Family Fan Club can unlock exclusive pre-sale access to shows by logging into the official website at www.brothersosborne.com.

Brothers Osborne are one of music’s most consistently adventurous bands, a duo connected by not just blood, but also a lifetime of performing together, and a shared working-class upbringing in Deale, Maryland. “We are always pushing ourselves, always evolving and not afraid to change,” John says. “But at the end of the day, we are also who we are.”

“This is a defining record at this point in our career, where we needed to put it all on our shoulders,” TJ says. “And we did. Like it was when we were growing up, it’s just John and me.”

Brothers Osborne (shaping the album) OC: …perfect for us. :43
JOHN: “We recorded quite a few songs for this project. I think we recorded, what, 16? I think we started with about 25 that we were whittling it down to, and you know at the end of the day, you think you have an idea of what your album is until you get in there, in the studio where the rubber meets the road and the songs will tell you how they want to be recorded and what order they want to go in, if they should stay on the album or not. We whittled it down, all the way down, to 11. We left a few on the cutting (room) floor, unfortunately, that we loved very much, but we wanted to give y’all the best listening experience as possible. I mean, hell, you waited three years for this album. We wanted to make it as concise, but full of energy as we can, and it just felt perfect for us.”

Universal Music Group Nashville announces the launch of new label Capitol Comedy Nashville with flagship comedian Nate Bargatze. Capitol Comedy Nashville, a new comedy-centered imprint for the label group, brings Bargatze’s Hello, World! audio album to the masses on September 15th. Pre-Save HERE

“Country music and comedy have always had a throughline connecting lifestyle and culture, sharing stories and character habits through humor,” says UMG Nashville Chair & CEO Cindy Mabe. “We’ve been forever linked going back to the early days of the Grand Ole Opry and classic country shows like Hee Haw where comedians shared billings with musical acts and helped us laugh at ourselves.  As we are looking for further ways to reach audiences through storytelling, I feel there is no better time to re-link our comedy history together with the start of our new label, Capitol Comedy Nashville.”

“It is a great honor to announce Nate Bargatze as our first comedian signed to Capitol Comedy Nashville,” Mabe continues. “Nate is an amazing storyteller who uses his own hysterical anecdotes from his life to connect with audiences everywhere. Through his unassuming, self-deprecating humor, Nate has built an incredible fanbase with his stand-up comedy and he most recently broke attendance records in Nashville at the Bridgestone Arena. We are so excited to welcome Nate to our label, and we can’t wait to grow the next era of storytelling through comedy.”

“I have wanted to expand not only my comedy but also build a world with the many talented comedians I know,” shares Bargatze. “This partnership is one of the first steps and I’m very thankful to have a guide and platform with Universal Music Group Nashville.”

Bargatze is a Grammy-nominated stand-up comedian with over twenty years of stand-up comedy success including Netflix specials “The Tennessee Kid”, “Greatest Average American,” and “The Stand-ups.” His latest special “Hello, World,” broke the record as Amazon’s most-streamed original comedy special and earned critical praise from The New York Times, The Daily Beast, Decider, Deadline, Vulture, and more. Bargatze also recently set a new attendance record at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville with nearly 20,000 tickets sold. He has been hailed as “The Nicest Man in Stand-Up,” by The Atlantic Magazine and a “Rising Star,” by CBS Morning, and now his Hello, World! special releases on all DSPs Sept. 15 and serves as the first release for Capitol Comedy Nashville.

  • BROTHERS OSBORNE GET READY TO RELEASE THEIR FOURTH STUDIO ALBUM.

Brothers Osborne are set to release their self-titled fourth studio album on Friday (September 15th). The guys enlisted Mike Elizondo (Sheryl Crow, Turnstile, Dr. Dre, Twenty One Pilots, Lin-Manual Miranda) to produce, entrusting him with curating his own band of studio musicians, including Paul McCartney’s drummer Abe Laboriel Jr. behind the kit. Miranda Lambert provides the LP’s sole guest vocals on “We Ain’t Good at Breaking Up,” after co-writing the song with John and TJ, along with Jesse Frasure.

The brothers co-wrote every song on the album, including their chart-climbing current single “Nobody’s Nobody,” penned with Elizondo and Kendell Marvel, capturing a message of inclusion and acceptance.

Since the release of their previous album, Skeletons, in 2020, the reigning CMA and ACM Duo of the Year have been very forthcoming with who they are to include TJ’s openness about his personal life and John about his mental health struggles; which had major impact on recording this new album.

“John and I have really shared so much of our personal lives since the release of Skeletons, and I guess we didn’t realize when we created that there was some sort of barriers there that maybe we didn’t realize and certainly didn’t want there,” says TJ. “And this time around, while we didn’t necessarily pointedly or specifically talk about those topics, it was the first time we were able to create without any barriers, and it just made the process a lot more fun. We got to explore a lot more musically in the studio, and we felt like for the first time completely 100% us. And I think, I hope, but I feel that the record reflects that. We thought, usually people do that on their first record, but we thought this is a new beginning for us, so between the change of the producer and a lot of the musicians and stuff, so we just thought this was kind of a fresh thought. So we kind of thought we’re gonna lean in more than we have previously and this us—Brothers Osborne.”

Brothers Osborne will celebrate the release with four newly announced tour dates in October, performing in New York City (10/5), Los Angeles (10/22), Washington D.C. (10/14) and Nashville (10/7).

While Parker served as a co-writer on each song, Randy Montana was highlighted for the success behind the singer’s double-platinum debut single “Pretty Heart,” followed by Rhett Akins for his follow-up platinum-certified No. 1 single, “To Be Loved By You,” and Monty Criswell for the platinum-certified No. 1, “Handle On You.” Parker was also surprised with certification plaques that encompassed all his recent achievements, including additional gold certifications for “Young Man’s Blues” and Gold Chain Cowboy.

Along with headlining his own tour this summer, the CMA-nominated star will play stadiums with Morgan Wallen on Wallen’s One Night at a Time World Tour.

Parker is currently making waves at radio with his latest smash, “Burn It Down.”

  • CARRIE UNDERWOOD AND FANS HELP RAISE OVER $420,000 FOR THE TUNNEL TO TOWERS FOUNDATION WITH DENIM & RHINESTONES TOUR DONATION.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is thrilled to announce a significant donation of $420,316 raised by fans of Carrie Underwood who enjoyed the country superstar’s recent 43-city arena tour, THE DENIM & RHINESTONES TOUR. This generous contribution will go directly towards supporting America’s heroes and their families.

Since early in her career, Carrie has designated a portion of ticket sales from her tours to support worthwhile charities and organizations. She continued that tradition by arranging for a donation of $1 from each ticket sold for her recent THE DENIM & RHINESTONES TOUR to be contributed to The Tunnel to Towers Foundation, an organization committed to providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children, and building specially adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. Furthermore, the foundation is steadfast in its commitment to eradicating veteran homelessness and assisting victims of significant U.S. disasters.

Carrie performed several songs on NBC’s TODAY Show, including “Before He Cheats,” her latest single “Out Of That Truck,” “She Don’t Know” and “Church Bells.”

Frank Siller, the CEO and Chairman of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, had this to say: “We are overjoyed and profoundly grateful for this kind gesture. Carrie’s substantial donation, supported by her loving fans, will directly influence the lives of many of our nation’s heroes and their families. It will offer them not only financial assistance but a beacon of hope and a reminder that their sacrifices are recognized and honored.”

“I’m so proud of the fans that came out to the tour and making this donation possible,” says Underwood.  “They have always shown up to support great organizations like Tunnel To Towers, making the world a better place while coming out to see us.”

In an unprecedented move, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation pledges to utilize 100% of this donation towards its cause, forgoing the usual allocation for administrative costs. This means every single dollar of this generous contribution will aid in the provision of mortgage-free homes to families of fallen first responders and Gold Star families, as well as catastrophically injured veterans and first responders.

Of the announcement made Thursday morning on NBC’s TODAY Show, Frank Siller emphasized, “This contribution transcends financial aid; it embodies compassion, unity, and patriotism. We extend our deepest appreciation to Carrie and her wonderful fanbase. Together, they’ve forged a beacon of light, showcasing the profound impacts of kindness and charity.” You can join us on our mission to provide forever homes to fallen first responder families across the nation by going to T2T.org and donating just $11 per month.
