    ABOUT ANNE WILSON:
One of Nashville’s most inspiring young trailblazers, Anne Wilson is a true “rebel” in modern music. The Lexington, Ky. native, known for her transcendent vocal and down-to-earth storytelling, recently released REBEL (The Beginning), a three-pack of songs fusing the heart of Contemporary Christian Music with the sound of Country, and allowing the emerging powerhouse to innovate as her career builds momentum. Co-produced by Jeff Pardo and Jonathan Smith, the project kicks off with two singles bridging Wilson’s sonic influences. The hurricane force encouragement of “Rain In The Rearview” stands as Wilson’s debut Country single, while the soaring ballad “Strong” will simultaneously aim to continue the success she has earned in Contemporary Christian. Taking the music world by storm, Wilson delivered her first public performance at 15, singing “What a Beautiful Name” at her brother’s funeral in a moving expression of faith which soon went viral. A few short years later, her 2021 debut single “My Jesus” became a PLATINUM-certified single and hit No.1 on Billboard’s Christian Airplay chart. Since then, she has tallied more than 880 M global streams, made her Grand Ole Opry debut and scored a GRAMMY nomination for her 2022 debut album My Jesus. She continues to thrill live audiences, performing over 250 shows in the first two years of her career, and just wrapped her entirely sold-out headlining My Jesus Tour as she kicks off 2024 on the road with Scotty McCreery. There’s much more to come from this modern musical revolution as she prepares to unveil her genre-bending album REBEL on April 19. Approaching her craft with a purpose and conviction that sets her apart, she declares, “I am who I am — I’m Anne Wilson. I love God and that’s my everything, but I love Country music, too, and I can have a beautiful mix of both.”

“‘God & Country’ is a song about what makes me me. Every house gets built on a foundation, and the more solid the foundation is, the longer that house is gonna stand. I think life is a lot like that too. I’m so thankful for the way my Mama and Daddy raised me. It taught the value of hard work, an appreciation for the simple things, a love for my country and an appreciation for the men and women who protect the freedoms that we all enjoy. Most of all, it taught me about a God who loves me. I can’t think of a stronger foundation than that. These days, I feel like I’m getting to reach a lot of new people with my music, so I wrote this song as a way of introducing myself. This is who I am, this is where I come from and this is the solid ground my life is built on – God and Country.”

  • ANNE WILSON TAKES FOLKS BEHIND-THE-SCENES OF THE MUSIC VIDEO FOR “RAIN IN THE REARVIEW.”

Last week, Anne Wilson released the official music video for her debut country single, “Rain In The Rearview,” and the wardrobe she had plays a big part in the message of the song and of her upcoming album.

“I love the wardrobe in this music video,” says Anne. “We took all the looks from our photo shoot that we did out in Wyoming for the new record, Rebel, and we pulled it all together and kind of repurposed some of this wardrobe and really the storyline from the record and kind of every song so far on the record. And how can we tie in the wardrobe to connect back to the theme of the record, which to me is more mature. It’s stepping into this next season of my life and this next record.”

She just released a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the video, which incorporates not only the wardrobe, but her sister as well.

Anne is currently on tour with Scotty McCreery for his Cab In A Solo Tour as direct support, marking her first-ever Country tour. The tour will trek across the U.S. with stops in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Boston and more. Tickets are available for purchase at annewilsonofficial.com.

  • ANNE WILSON LEAVES THE “RAIN IN THE REARVIEW” IN PURSUIT OF CLEARER SKIES AHEAD.

PLATINUM-certified, GRAMMY-nominated artist and songwriter Anne Wilson has unveiled the music video for her debut Country single, “Rain In The Rearview,” exclusively on CMT/Paramount Times Square billboards, CMT, CMT Music and CMT.com.  The music video comes just days after she was revealed as a member of the coveted 2024 CMT Next Women of Country class.

Directed by ACM Award-winner TK McKamy, the music video is a visual allegory for Anne’s journey. The video begins with Wilson driving in her car as rain begins to pour before the imagery takes a poignant turn, finding Wilson standing strong in the pouring rain – a powerful symbol of finding strength in the midst of challenges. The video comes to a close as Wilson drives into the unknown, taking a bold leap towards brighter days ahead.

“The three versions of me and the perspectives of all three were so accurate to how my life has been,” Wilson shares with CMT. “We all go through different seasons and sometimes need the reminder that we can leave our past behind us.”

“I love this music video so much. We were working through the idea and concept behind it. It was really about portraying three different versions of myself – the happy version, which is the healed version; the driver, which is kind of plowing through everything and then the one that is sad and kind of looking on the past and reflecting what has come before,” says the Kentucky native. “And I love the reminder in this music video and getting to work with T.K. McKamy on this treatment of how can we take this song and dive deeper into what it means? And I think in life we all go through different seasons where we’re either fully healed, we’re still looking back and struggling with depression and anxiety from the past or we’re driving in the seat and we’re going ahead for what’s to come. So, I love that we got to portray all three of those in this video.”

Her sister, Elizabeth, is also in the video as her double. She tells CMT, “People have always said we look like twins, so it was a blast finally getting to pretend like we are! My sister is my stylist and best friend so having her a part of this was truly an honor.”

The track, currently spinning at Country radio now, was penned by Wilson, Matthew West, Jaren Johnston and Zach Kale. Garnering praise from critics since its release in September, MusicRow notes that “vocally she’s got the goods” and Billboard cites the “acoustic coda showcases Wilson’s ceiling-scraping vocal capabilities.” Released as part of her bold new venture that fuses the Christian and Country genres, Holler noted that the new three-pack of songs, REBEL (The Beginning), “clearly outlines Wilson’s new country-leaning mission statement,” as two of the songs simultaneously make waves at Christian radio (“Strong”) and Country radio (“Rain In The Rearview”).

As she charges into 2024 with momentum like never before, Wilson hits the stage tonight with Scotty McCreery for his Cab In A Solo Tour as direct support, marking her first-ever Country tour. The tour, promoted by Live Nation, will trek across the U.S. with stops in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Boston and more. Tickets are available for purchase at annewilsonofficial.com.

Earlier this month, Wilson was tapped as one of Spotify’s Hot Country Artists to Watch 2024, further cementing her position as one on the rise from CMT, Music Mayhem, Pandora and more. Brothers Osborne‘s John Osborne graces the cover of the new issue of Vintage Guitar magazine for a second time. He posted on Instagram: “If you know anything about me, it’s that I love old shit! Especially when it comes to guitars. There was a time when I had only one guitar and I never imagined I would be the custodian of numerous great vintage ones. I especially never thought I would get to grace the cover of vintage guitar magazine for the second time. Thank you, Becky Fluke (@bfluke) for making me look cooler than I am.”

  • ANNE WILSON HAS ALWAYS BEEN DRAWN TO COUNTRY MUSIC.

PLATINUM-certified, GRAMMY-nominated artist and songwriter Anne Wilson has been making waves for a few years, launching a successful music career in Christian Music, but Country Music has always called out to her and she realized her dream at the end of last year with the release of her debut country single, “Rain In The Rearview.”

“I grew up listening to Country and Christian music as a kid,” says Anne. “My parents would turn on Christian radio and my brother would play Country radio and old Country Music, so I equally enjoyed both. As an artist starting out in Christian Music, I loved getting to add my Country influence to my first record through faith-based lyrics. But now that I am 21, and it’s been a couple of years, I really have been able to explore who I am as an artist even deeper, and just more Country Music has naturally come out of that place. I realize that it’s not even about a genre anymore, but this is just who I am – a country girl who loves Jesus. And I’m so excited for this new season and share who I am as an artist with this new audience.”

Called to her musical mission in the wake of tragedy, Anne’s “My Jesus” – an empowering anthem of personal conviction wrapped in uplifting, roots-pop energy – served as her warm introduction to fans in early 2021. After going viral upon release, the single’s music video reached 7M views in its first week and more than 25M to date. The track hit No.1 on Billboard‘s Christian Airplay chart, making her the first debut female Christian artist in chart history to reach No.1, and was nominated for a Billboard Music Award for Top Christian Song. The single also went on to be named ASCAP’s 2022 Christian Music Awards Song of the Year, reaching Spotify’s Viral 50, the Shazam Top 200 and Rolling Stone’s Top 25 Trending charts. To date, the song has accumulated 360M streams and 180M TikTok views in addition to notching PLATINUM status.

Anne will join Scotty McCreery’s Cab In A Solo Tour as direct support, marking her first-ever Country tour. The tour, promoted by Live Nation, will kick-off at Hobart Arena in Troy, Ohio this Friday (January 26th) and make its way across the U.S. with stops in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Boston and more.
