Brothers Osborne‘s John Osborne graces the cover of the new issue of Vintage Guitar magazine for a second time. He posted on Instagram: “If you know anything about me, it’s that I love old shit! Especially when it comes to guitars. There was a time when I had only one guitar and I never imagined I would be the custodian of numerous great vintage ones. I especially never thought I would get to grace the cover of vintage guitar magazine for the second time. Thank you, Becky Fluke (@bfluke) for making me look cooler than I am.”

  • ANNE WILSON HAS ALWAYS BEEN DRAWN TO COUNTRY MUSIC.

PLATINUM-certified, GRAMMY-nominated artist and songwriter Anne Wilson has been making waves for a few years, launching a successful music career in Christian Music, but Country Music has always called out to her and she realized her dream at the end of last year with the release of her debut country single, “Rain In The Rearview.”

“I grew up listening to Country and Christian music as a kid,” says Anne. “My parents would turn on Christian radio and my brother would play Country radio and old Country Music, so I equally enjoyed both. As an artist starting out in Christian Music, I loved getting to add my Country influence to my first record through faith-based lyrics. But now that I am 21, and it’s been a couple of years, I really have been able to explore who I am as an artist even deeper, and just more Country Music has naturally come out of that place. I realize that it’s not even about a genre anymore, but this is just who I am – a country girl who loves Jesus. And I’m so excited for this new season and share who I am as an artist with this new audience.”

Called to her musical mission in the wake of tragedy, Anne’s “My Jesus” – an empowering anthem of personal conviction wrapped in uplifting, roots-pop energy – served as her warm introduction to fans in early 2021. After going viral upon release, the single’s music video reached 7M views in its first week and more than 25M to date. The track hit No.1 on Billboard‘s Christian Airplay chart, making her the first debut female Christian artist in chart history to reach No.1, and was nominated for a Billboard Music Award for Top Christian Song. The single also went on to be named ASCAP’s 2022 Christian Music Awards Song of the Year, reaching Spotify’s Viral 50, the Shazam Top 200 and Rolling Stone’s Top 25 Trending charts. To date, the song has accumulated 360M streams and 180M TikTok views in addition to notching PLATINUM status.

Anne will join Scotty McCreery’s Cab In A Solo Tour as direct support, marking her first-ever Country tour. The tour, promoted by Live Nation, will kick-off at Hobart Arena in Troy, Ohio this Friday (January 26th) and make its way across the U.S. with stops in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Boston and more.

  • ANNE WILSON’S MUSICAL JOURNEY BEGAN WITH A TRAGIC LOSS.

Anne Wilson has touched millions with her voice and lyrics, but her musical journey began and her life forever transformed by her brother Jacob’s passing from a car accident a few years ago. Singing wasn’t really a path she had thought of during her early years. She had always wanted to be an astronaut. However, she discovered her voice and musical mission in the days following the tragedy while delivering a heartfelt performance at his funeral.

“I discovered I had a voice when my brother (Jacob) passed away,” says Anne. “I sang for the first time publicly at my brother’s funeral. I had no idea I could sing and really had no desire to be an artist, but through that season of loss, God really began to call me to music and show me that’s what he had in store for me.”

While she’s won awards, earned number-one songs and albums, she has also followed her heart and soul into country music, where she recently released her debut country single, “Rain in the Rearview.”

Anne is set to perform at the Grand Ole Opry on January 20th before she hits the road on Scotty McCreery’s Cab In A Solo Tour beginning January 26th in Troy, Ohio.

Audio / Anne Wilson talks about how she began her musical journey, which came out of a tragic and devastating loss.

  • ANNE WILSON HONORED WITH BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARD FOR TOP CHRISTIAN ALBUM.

Last night at the Billboard Music Awards, GRAMMY-nominated artist and songwriter Anne Wilson claimed the prestigious honor of Top Christian Album for her debut album, My Jesus. Released on April 22, 2022, the 15-song album was the biggest debut album by a CCMG artist in over 15 years – it reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Christian & Gospel Albums and the Top 200 Christian and Gospel charts, culminating in over 800M total global streams.

“These songs have impacted so many lives across the world and I’m so grateful that the world has used this record to bring glory and honor to his name,” Wilson shared in her acceptance speech. “Thank you guys so much, thank you Billboard, I love y’all!”

The song that started it all, “My Jesus,” was recently certified PLATINUM by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The “deeply personal breakout ballad” (Billboard) has continued to fuel Wilson’s unstoppable career, notching over one million units sold and counting with numerous awards and accolades to its name. “My Jesus” hit No.1 on Billboard‘s Christian Airplay chart, making her the first debut female Christian artist in chart history to reach No.1 and was nominated for a Billboard Music Award for Top Christian Song. The single also went on to be named ASCAP’s 2022 Christian Music Awards Song of the Year, reaching Spotify’s Viral 50, the Shazam Top 200 and Rolling Stone’s Top 25 Trending charts.

As Wilson closes out the year on a high note, her eyes-to-the-sky Country anthem “Rain In The Rearview” continues to gain traction at Country radio. Painting a vivid picture of emotions gathering like a distant storm, “Rain In The Rearview” finds Wilson determined to leave the past behind and chase a fresh start. Already garnering immense support from critics, Country Now acknowledges she “puts her spirited vocals on full display” and Billboard hails her sound as “rootsy and soulful” with “ceiling-scraping vocal capabilities.” “The crashing, echoey production of this anthem sounds like ’70s rock, which means she should fit right in,” adds MusicRow. Released as part of her new chapter of music titled REBEL (The Beginning) which fuses the Christian and Country genres, Holler noted that this three-pack of songs “clearly outlines Wilson’s new country-leaning mission statement,” as two of the songs simultaneously makes waves at Christian radio (“Strong”) and Country radio (“Rain In The Rearview”).

Last month, Wilson concluded her first-ever headlining My Jesus Tour with special guest Josh Baldwin. The 20-stop tour sold out in every market across the country including stops in major cities such as Austin, Atlanta, Charlotte, Indianapolis and Chicago. Come January, Wilson will embark on tour with Scotty McCreery for his Cab In A Solo Tour. PLATINUM-certified, GRAMMY-nominated artist and songwriter Anne Wilson boldly transcends musical boundaries with the release of her latest offering, REBEL (The Beginning). The transformative three-pack, available now, marks the start of her new chapter seamlessly blending the Country and Christian genres. Featured on today’s brand-new three-pack is the title track “REBEL,” Christian radio single “Strong” and forthcoming Country radio single “Rain In The Rearview.” Wilson will release dual singles at Christian and Country radio with impact dates of today, 9/29, and 10/9 respectively.

Kicking off the new chapter of music is the loud-and-proud title track “REBEL,” in tribute to the original counter-culture movement that finds Wilson taking an “against the grain” approach. Backing defiant, almost dangerous-feeling vocals with roaring guitars, pounding drums and a gospel spirit, she delivers an up-tempo country-rock stomp that showcases her unwavering spirit.

Weary but never broken, Wilson lifts spirits with Christian radio single “Strong.” Released today with an all-new lyric video, the epic ballad leaves listeners feeling empowered to face whatever challenge comes next.

With emotions gathering like a distant storm, Wilson belts her eyes-to-the-sky Country anthem, “Rain In The Rearview,” determined to leave the past behind and chase a fresh start. Matching the dark, intricate Country sound is Wilson’s hurricane-force vocal, set to impact radio waves on October 9th.

Anne Wilson (Rain In The Rearview) OC: …through it. :51
“This is a song about moving forward; moving forward from grief; moving forward from heartbreak and from pain in our lives. There’s a bible verse that I love that talks about how ‘weeping may last for a night, but joy comes in the morning.’ I think sometimes we get so stuck in the storms we are in, and it can look so hopeless like it’s never going to end. I’ve been there. I felt that way when I lost my brother six years ago. I’ve shed my share of tears, and I still cry sometimes. I’ve had days when I wondered if I’d ever know joy again, but I’m learning how to keep moving forward; taking God’s hand and letting him take the wheel, and I’m learning there’s always a reason to wake up and face another day knowing that no matter what storm I’m facing this too shall pass. And someday when the rain from that storm I’ve faced is in my rearview, I’ll look back and smile because I’m stronger for it and because I know who got me through it.”
