  • BROTHERS OSBORNE’S JOHN & TJ HAVE A BLAST WITH THE NEW VIDEO FOR THEIR SINGLE, ‘IT AIN’T MY FAULT.’

Reigning ACM and CMA “Vocal Duo of the Year,” Brothers Osborne, debuts the music video for their raucous new single “It Ain’t My Fault” with VEVO today, watch HERE. John and TJ Osborne partnered with directors Wes Edwards and Ryan Silver for the eccentric video that originated as a comedic spoof on the action film Point Break. Brothers Osborne portray pawn shop owners who are robbed at gunpoint by four masked men disguised as former presidents. Hijinks ensue as the video chronicles the consequential police chase. Check out all the news at brothersnewsnetwork.com.

For an inside look at the making of the “It Ain’t My Fault” video, People.com has premiered an exclusive behind-the-scenes piece which can be viewed HERE.

“The media these days is flooded with all things presidential and politics,” John notes. “No matter what happens, politicians all seem to pin the blame on something else as opposed to being accountable for their own actions. We felt the connection with the song title was perfect.”

TJ adds, “John and I always like song titles that aren’t immediately obvious but are common everyday sayings. We’re all guilty of saying ‘It Ain’t My Fault’ more so than it actually being true. When our co-writer, Lee Thomas Miller, brought up the idea we loved it. We wanted a video that was as exciting as the music.”

Climbing country radio’s Top 25, “It Ain’t My Fault” is Brothers Osborne’s current single off their critically-acclaimed debut album, Pawn Shop. The infectious track is quickly winning over both critics and fans alike with Rolling Stone Country praising, “‘It Ain’t My Fault’ rejuvenates the tired country-rock vibe overrunning the airwaves…it’s unique in the sonic landscape.” The song has already cracked the Top 20 on Shazam’s country charts and continues to increase in sales rankings each week.

“It Ain’t My Fault” follows the duo’s GRAMMY-nominated single “21 Summer” as well as the GRAMMY-nominated, Platinum-certified, No.1 smash hit “Stay A Little Longer.” The singer/songwriter siblings recently swept both duo categories at the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards joining Brooks & Dunn as the only country music duos to win both “New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year” as well as “Vocal Duo of the Year” in the same night. They also stand as the reigning CMA “Vocal Duo of the Year.”

Brothers Osborne will next join Chris Stapleton as part of his All American Road Show starting May 5th in Atlanta. For a full list of tour dates, news, images and more, visit www.BrothersOsborne.com

“The video treatment to ‘It Ain’t My Fault’ was written by Ryan Silver and Wes Edwards. We got a lot of good treatments for the video, but this one seemed to be the most bold and daring, and we laughed the whole time we were reading it. It definitely have a huge political undertone to it, but at the end of the day, we hope people come away laughing because politics these days has been so polarizing and such a dark part of American culture that we want people to be able to laugh at it for a second. And, yeah, that’s it, and that’s why we tried to take the risks that we did. We know that we might piss a few people off along the way, but hopefully we make everyone laugh a little bit.”

  • BROTHERS OSBORNE WIN TWO ACM AWARDS!

Brothers Osborne already had one award going into Sunday night’s ACM Awards for Top New Vocal Duo or Group, but they also took home a second award for Top Vocal Duo of the Year.

“We’ve been staring at things like this for a long time, you know, like since we were kids,” says John. “It’s iconic, and to be holding not one, but two of these is, it takes a long time to process stuff like this, and I don’t know if we ever will. It’s amazing.”

John and TJ aren’t sure where they’ll put their awards, but they will certainly be on display somewhere intheir homes. “My CMA Awards are sitting on my kitchen counter. That’s the only place I have. I got it out and I stared at it for like an hour. So, we literally have nowhere to put ‘em,” says TJ. “It’s weird, though. I kind of want you to narcissistically to walk into my house and see my awards, but then I’m like, am I gloating a little bit? Then do I put them in a side room, but then I don’t want to act like I’m not appreciative of the awards, so there’s a whole like mental acrobatics on what you do with these things. I’m showing off, by the way. They’re gonna be on display at my house for the next three years.”

The guys are currently making their way up the country charts with “It Ain’t My Fault,” from their debut album, Pawn Shop.

“I don’t know.  I will say this, I think it might change the public’s perspective or some people that have been kind of reticent to be down with what we do. I will say from our perspective, we are super grateful for this, but we’ll never change what we do, and that’s what I think makes these a lot more special to us, because we’ve never faltered, we’ve never wavered, we’ve never compromised. We just did our thing, no matter what.”

If we win a couple more, we can afford a bigger place to actually hang, put one of these, so.” TJ: “It’s weird, though. • KEITH, DARIUS, BROTHERS O, CLARE PAY TRIBUTE TO THE LATE CHUCK BERRY.

Several members of the country music community are mourning the loss of Rock’n Roll pioneer Chuck Berry over the weekend. According to the New York Times, Berry, who died at his home in Wentzville, Missouri on Saturday at the age of 90, “did as much as anyone to define rock ’n’ roll’s potential and attitude in its early years.”

Keith Urban was eloquent in his remembrance of Chuck Berry, citing one of his biggest hits, “RIP Chuck Berry !!!! Thank you for the poetry, the passion and the potency! GO JOHNNY GO. – KU”, while Darius Rucker said, “Legend isn’t a big enough word for you sir!!”

Thanks for everything, Chuck.” Guitar slinger Clare Dunn said, “Pioneer, game changer: those words barely start to describe . We miss you and the world will never be the same.”

Audio / Keith Urban talks about recording the song, “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” from his album Ripcord.

    Download

Keith Urban (Blue Ain’t Your Color) OC: …of space. :50
“With this record, I think I was also trying to find songs and write songs to what I had done in the past, just that felt different for me. This song called ‘Blue Ain’t Your Color’ came along, and again, it was just one of those that I loved immediately. I loved the lyric. I loved the melody, the feel, and it’s basically a waltz, you know, like a one, two, three, two, two, three, a one, two, three, two, two, three. But I didn’t want it to feel like a waltz, you know? So, when we recorded the song at Starstruck Studios here in Nashville, we kept it a little more robotic sounding, so it wasn’t a straight band. It was a little more machinery, rhythmically, and I think it kept, hopefully for me at least, it kept it in a unique place to allow the story to have a lot of space.”

Audio / Keith Urban talks about the correlation between the adrenaline rush of pulling a ripcord from a parachute and the hope that those feelings are captured in the diversity of the songs on his new album, Ripcord.

    Download

Keith Urban (Ripcord album) OC: …this record. :37
“There’s songs on the record that probably feel, having not skydived myself, but my wife has done it many, many, many times. There’s definitely songs that sound like that free falling at an incredibly rapid speed. The adrenaline rush of that. The pulling of the cord and suddenly just sort of cruising and coasting and floating and the combination of all those speeds, energies, exhilarations, euphoria, the view, how that changes, all of it, I think, hopefully will be captured in the diversity of songs on this record.”

Audio / Dierks Bentley talks about having Elle King sing on the song, “Different For Girls” on his new album, Black.

    Download

Dierks Bentley (Elle King) OC: …new place. :36
“Well, I love Elle King’s voice. I mean she has such a unique voice, and you never know if her voice is going to blend with your voice. I didn’t found out until I went down to the studio in Austin, and right away it was just a really natural sounding blend. Her voice just lifted up this song. The lyrics of this song are pretty strong and her voice on this particular song really takes the song to a whole other level. I really wanted to find a way for her not to just be background vocals. I wanted to find a way to really get her included in the song, so I gave her the second verse and made the song more of a conversation as opposed to just background vocals. And it really, it just took the song to a whole new place.”

Audio / Hillary Scott is so excited to be nominated for two Grammys for her faith-based song "Thy Will" and the album she made with her family, Love Remains.

    Download

Hillary Scott (Grammys 2017) OC: …incredible year. 52
HILLARY: “Over the moon excited, and never expected it, because honestly when we set out to make the record we weren’t sure how many people would get to hear it. To be able to share this with my family is, it makes me cry. So, it’s gonna be a really special day. The whole experience has been amazing.” CHARLES: “I expected it. The first time I heard ‘Thy Will,’ it blew my mind. I asked her if she could hold it for Lady Antebellum’s record. I knew it was special. I told her after I heard it, ‘This is gonna to blow up. It’s gonna be huge.’” HILLARY: “And just to see, that song in particular coming from such a difficult thing, I think we all hope that the things that we go through in our life, at some point being able to look back and say, ‘Okay. Alright. I still would never want to go through it again, but I see why, a piece of why even.’ So, this is just, it’s just been an incredible year.”
