• DIERKS BENTLEY ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR SOUNDS OF SUMMER TOUR AND TAKES THE POLAR PLUNGE!

Nashville, TN – Jan. 12, 2015 –Coming off of an electric year with capacity crowds in amphitheaters across the country, PLATINUM selling singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley announced his plans for the 2015 SOUNDS OF SUMMER TOUR today. The 40 city run will kick off June 5 in Raleigh, NC and continue through the summer with friends Kip Moore, Maddie & Tae and Canaan Smith stacking the lineup. Fans can purchase tickets beginning Jan. 26 for first cities as part of tour promoter Live Nation’s Country Megaticket at www.Megaticket.com with additional ticket info for each market coming available in the weeks ahead at www.dierks.com.

“There have been tours in my career that I thought would be impossible to top, and the past 12 months certainly rank as some of the best and most fun nights of my life,” said Bentley. “I expect 2015 to beat all of it. II’ve really loved having three other artists out there with us…just more fun on and off the stage and knowing that the fans are getting more music for their money is important to me. Kip, Maddie & Tae and Canaan are three of the hottest rising artists out there right now, and I feel fortunate to be spending the summer with them. If our first ‘tour meeting’ is any indication, they are up for anything, which is awesome. No one is going to have more fun this summer than us!”

Earlier this morning, Bentley invited his tourmates to a meeting in Nashville where they were challenged with plunging into the new year and new tour with him, and the challenge was accepted. Last year’s RISER TOUR found Bentley commanding the attention of media across the country, with critics calling his performances “captivating” with a “new depth” (The Plain Dealer) and affirming “crowds from coast to coast now know Bentley’s strengths as a headliner” (Indianapolis Star). Night after night, Bentley “rose to the occasion like a pro, as though headlining is what the man was born to do” (Arizona Republic).

Bentley has notched 12 chart-topping singles, over five million albums sold, countless CMA, ACM and CMT nominations and membership into the Grand Ole Opry. Bentley recently received his 12th GRAMMY nod with “Country Album Of The Year” for RISER at the upcoming 57th Annual Awards airing in Feb. 2015. The Phoenix native will kick off the year as part of CBS Radio’s “The Night Before” the Super Bowl special airing from his hometown on Jan. 31.

The fastest rising female act in eight years, Maddie & Tae introduced their Dot Records’ debut single “Girl In A Country Song” with a No. one at Country radio and GOLD certification. The two songstresses penned all four songs on their self-titled EP, which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s New Artist Heatseekers chartMaddie & Tae have made national television appearances on the Late Show with David Letterman and TODAY.

Mercury Nashville singer/songwriter Canaan Smith was named a 2015 Artist To Watch by both The Huffington Post and Yahoo! Music.
