George Strait continues to reveal exciting plans for 2020 with today’s announcement of “Strait to South Bend,” taking place at Notre Dame Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 15 with special guests Chris Stapleton and Brothers Osborne. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 6 at 10 a.m. ET via ticketmaster.com, and American Express® Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Friday, February 28 at 10am local time through Thursday, March 5 at 10pm local time.

Since his record-breaking Cowboy Rides Away Tour in 2014, Strait has performed for limited engagements. This year has already featured three sold-out performances, first with “Visit Wichita Presents Strait to Oz” at INTRUST Bank Arena, then back-to-back nights of “Strait to the Heartland” at Kansas City’s Sprint Center.

IN Kansas City raved about “Strait to the Heartland” night one, noting that “the 18,000-plus in attendance got just what they paid for: an evening of hits and favorites performed with enthusiasm and virtuosity. [Strait] also gave them the usual pageantry and rituals befitting one of the most beloved and admired artists in music.”

Just last month, the King of Country Music also revealed plans for an Aug. 22 show at Minneapolis’ U.S. Bank Stadium with special guests Stapleton, Little Big Town and more, as well as two more of his legendary “Strait to Vegas” shows planned for T-Mobile Arena on Aug. 28 and 29 with special guest Caitlyn Smith.

The undisputed “King of Country Music,” George Strait again used his platform for good, recognizing National First Responders Day yesterday, October 28th, by supporting The 100 Club of San Antonio’s efforts to assist families of fallen first responders in connection with his latest single “The Weight of the Badge.”

Written together by Strait, his son Bubba and longtime collaborator Dean Dillon, “The Weight of the Badge” off Strait’s most recent album, Honky Tonk Time Machine, speaks to the sacrifices made by our nation’s first responders and marks Strait’s record-extending 100th entry on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, where he also holds the record for most Top 10s with 61 songs.

Strait’s ninth annual Vaqueros del Mar golf tournament and benefit concert, hosted together with longtime friend and businessman Tom Cusick from Oct. 20-23 at the Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort in Boerne, Texas, also raised a record-setting $2.2 million and counting for the Feherty’s Troops First Foundation which directly benefits wounded military service men and women. In addition to Strait, the event also featured performances by artists including Ray Benson & Asleep at the Wheel, Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser, Wade Bowen, Randy Rogers and Sailor Jerry.

George Strait is set to reissue his Strait Out of the Box: Part 1 on Friday (September 13th), available exclusively at Walmart.
