• CAYLEE HAMMACK TO HOST NEW SHOW “PRIME COUNTRY WITH CAYLEE HAMMACK” ON SIRIUSXM.

Capitol Records Nashville’s Caylee Hammack is taking on a new challenge – that of radio host. This morning, Hammack appeared on Sirius XM’s Highway Mornings with Cody Alan and Macie Banks yesterday morning to announce her new show “Prime Country With Caylee Hammack” show on Sirius XM on Prime Country (channel 58). The show will air Fridays from 3:00 – 6:00 pm ET, with replays on Saturdays at 5:00 pm ET and Tuesdays at 12:00 PM ET.

Known for her charming personality and strong story telling through her songs and social media, Hammack will bring her passion for country music and its history to her new show. She will curate her favorite songs from the 80s and 90s and share stories during the three-hour program.

“To have a platform to share the stories behind the music that made me fall in love with this genre and to dive into those stories with friends in the future episodes…well, it’s an exciting journey to start down memory lane. Buckle in, y’all,” shared Hammack.

    About Caylee Hammack:
Capitol Nashville “songwriter/producer/full-throttle vocalist” (HITS) Caylee Hammack’s most recent releases are “History Of Repeating” and “All Or Nothing” off her forthcoming sophomore album. Earlie this year, Hammack performed at the C2C Festival with shows in London, Dublin and Glasgow and she was an opener on Dierks Bentley’s Gravel & Gold Tour. Hammack’s released her debut record IF IT WASN’T FOR YOU to high praise from critics. The 13-track set that sees Hammack with writer and producer credits on every track was spotlighted by Billboard as “Hammack has arrived with this 13-track adrenaline blast…every song on here plays out like an entry in Hammack’s diary—and is just as compelling…Hammack deserves to be a star.” Hammack garnered more acclaim when she released a new version of her deeply personal song “Small Town Hypocrite” with a guest vocal by Chris Stapleton. Co-written and co-produced by Hammack, NPR and Esquire singled out the track as one of their “Best Songs of 2020.” Winning ACM “Music Event Of The Year,” with Miranda Lambert, Caylee Hammack has been noted as an “Artist To Watch” by outlets including The Bobby Bones Show, Rolling Stone and HITS Magazine for her “voice to move mountains” (Rolling Stone). Hammack’s breakout Top 30 single “Family Tree” marked the most-added single at Country radio by a female artist in over three years. Hammack was featured on several tracks from Ashley McBryde’s album Lindeville including “Brenda Put Your Bra On,” “Bonfire at Tina’s,” and “When Will I Be Loved.” For more information visit www.cayleehammack.com.

It must have been the collab!! Haha. The song actually started off pretty grassy with Billy, @sambushband @bryansuttond28 @jerrydouglas on it (and my band). And then we went back in a year later and gave it a little more of a country vibe. Thanks to my friends @jimbeavers and my pal @charlieworsham for writing it and letting me make it my own. This song is why Charlie has been in our band the last two years. After he recorded the acoustic lick at the top, I remember asking him how in the hell are we gonna play this live on the road. @bhelson is on electric and there’s no way I can play it. He said, ‘Well I could come out and do it.’ And he did!! And he still is haha.”

Vince Gill and Paul Franklin are nominated in Best Country Duo/Group for “Kissing Your Picture (Is So Cold).”

Produced by Dave Cobb, Morgane Stapleton and Chris Stapleton, Higher was recorded at Nashville’s RCA Studio A and is already receiving widespread critical acclaim:

“dazzling…the best evidence yet for the way one man’s voice has become synonymous with the very idea of a musical genre”— Rolling Stone

“his leaps, quavers and evasions of the beat can be traced to Al Green. But Stapleton brings his own drama and grit to the style”—The New York Times

“Stapleton’s enigmatic voice – known for its raw versatility, so anchored in his chosen musical genre with an unusual ability to transcend it – is as present as ever…No one is immune when Stapleton’s textured, bellowing ballads play”—Associated Press

“finds Stapleton pairing an outlaw swagger with some heaven-scraping vocals”—Billboard

“certainly suggests that Stapleton is leaning into his strengths as a cross-genre act”—Consequence

“The consistency Chris Stapleton has with all of his releases is mind-blowing…This man does not miss”—Whiskey Riff

In celebration of the release, Stapleton was featured on NBC’s “Sunday TODAY with Willie Geist” and recently spoke with GQ, who praises, “In an age rife with division, he’s maybe the only thing Americans all agree on…one of the most reliable hit makers in music.” Read the full GQ Hype cover story HERE.

The release adds to yet another landmark year for Stapleton, who was named Male Vocalist of the Year for the seventh time at the 57th Annual CMA Awards earlier this week, breaking his own record for most wins ever in the category. Stapleton also performed twice during the live awards broadcast: his current single, “White Horse,” and “We Don’t Fight Anymore” with Carly Pearce.

Known for his electric live performances, the 8x Grammy, 16x CMA and 15x ACM Award-winner will continue his “All-American Road Show” through next year including stops at San Diego’s Petco Park, Minneapolis’ U.S. Bank Stadium, Seattle’s T-Mobile Park, Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl (two nights), Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena (two nights), Cleveland’s Blossom Music Center and Philadelphia’s Freedom Mortgage Pavilion among several others. See below for complete itinerary.

Audio / Chris Stapleton says his new album Higher has something for everyone.

Chris Stapleton (Higher album) OC: …on this record. :56
“One thing that’s probably notable about the record to me is it’s the first one that we’ve put out that doesn’t contain a cover, so there’s no covers on this record. So, in that way, I guess you could say it should be more intrinsically whatever we do. So, there’s definitely some exploration of the edges of what that is, and certainly some moments of stretching out vocally and trying to see what that is. There’s some different stuff on this record, I think, and I think it’s really great. I think it’s something that people will enjoy. I think there’s something on it for everybody, which is kind of always my goal. If you’re a kind of a hardcore traditional country person, there’s a song on there for that somewhere. If you leaned into more of the R&B side of what we do, there’s stuff on there for that. If you like the rock side of things that we do, there’s stuff on there for that. And there’s some really great songs on here. I’m excited about the songs on this record.”

“’Hey Jack’ was such a fun song to write. I wrote it with Randy Montana, Jeremy Stover and Dave Cohen, and it was really cool writing from the perspective of you talking to a drink. I feel like a drink can be something that you lean on if you’re going through a great time or a hard time, and they get sides of you that a lot of people don’t. So, instead of calling an ex-boyfriend, you might call on some whiskey.”

“’Higher’ is a song that’s been around a long, long time. I wrote it in 2001 in the first few onths of being a professional songwriter here in Nashville, and it was on the first demo session that I ever did here in Nashville. So, for it to come around 22 years later and wind up being the title track of an album is a pretty unique thing to me.”

Chris Stapleton picked up the award for Male Vocalist of the Year–his 7th in that category. He won in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022 and 2023.

He says he’s always surprised to hear his name called when it comes to awards. “These things are always fantastic to win, but when you get nominated or invited to these parties, in my estimation, you’ve already won and you’ve already gotten to be far beyond anything, you know, anybody who’s a musician could ever dream of getting to do, and we get to do that every day, we get to live it every day,” says the humble Kentucky native. “As far as thinking about going into anything, I’m always genuinely surprised to win anything, and I’m always grateful for it.”

Chris had the crowd on their feet when he turned in a soaring performance of his latest Top 15 single, “White Horse.” The song is from his new album, Higher, which drops on Friday (November 10th).

Chris will be one of the headliners for the inaugural Walmart “Heroes & Headliners” concert, which will pay tribute to veterans and their families. The concert, which will also feature Imagine Dragons and H.E.R., will be held at Tampa’s MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheater on Veteran’s Day (Saturday, November 11th). Fans will be able to stream the show beginning at 6:15pm ET/5:15pm CT on Walmart.com/Live, Facebook, Youtube and X/Twitter.

  • BROTHERS OSBORNE PICK UP THEIR SIXTH CMA VOCAL DUO OF THE YEAR.

Brothers Osborne picked up their sixth Vocal Duo of the Year at Wednesday night’s (November 8th) CMA Awards. In accepting their award, the pair thanked their families and the industry, as well as acknowledged the other nominees in the category and were equal parts self-deprecating and humble.

Backstage, TJ told reporters that he truly did not think they’d win the award this year and how he needs to get out of his head at times.

“I did not expect us to win. I felt that way every single year, and it has always felt like it was this close to slipping away from us,” says TJ. “And I don’t know if it feels that way for other artists, but I do think what happens to all of us in our heads is mostly not reality when we’re thinking about if we’re cool, if we’re still gonna be relevant. But it’s something that I think of regularly and I’m like, I wonder if this is the last year that we get to feel like we’re on top of the world. And then it keeps happening. I think the thing I need to change is probably just wake up and realize that we’re gonna be here for a while, at least I hope, and probably get a better therapist.”

John is really trying to live in the moment and savor the success and accolades the two have achieved. “We were here (in Nashville) for well over a decade before we ever got signed to a record deal,” he says. “So, you really try to relish these moments that happen because some people are like, ‘Oh yeah, you did it again.’ It’s like, no, this is our moment, this is our year, because at some point, it will pass, you know, and you’ve got to relish it. There will be a time when we aren’t even nominated. There will be a time when we can’t even get in the damn building, and we’ll look back and wished we would have relished it more. So, I definitely don’t want to miss any of this.”

John and TJ are currently making their way up the country charts with their latest single, “Nobody’s Nobody,” from their self-titled album.

JOHN: “We’ve had a great moment these last several years, but we’ve still spent the vast majority of our lives in actual obscurity.
