Shania Twain revealed new music news when making an appearance last night on NBC’s The Voice. While Shania served as a first-time-ever fifth judge on the hit show and a key advisor to the contestants, fans learned Shania’s “Life’s About to Get Good” is scheduled to hit country airwaves this June and her first album in 15 years is due out this September.

When writing “Life’s About to Get Good,” Shania explains, “I was at home looking out at the ocean and I said to myself, ‘Here I am stuck in this past of negativity, but it’s so beautiful out. I’m not in the mood to write a ‘feeling-sorry-for-myself’ song.” The songwriter recognized that with all of the negative in life also comes the positive. “You can’t have the good without the bad. And that’s what the song ended up being about.”

Shania, who recently appeared as a guest on CBS’ The Late Late Show with James Corden, plans to debut her new single during her headlining set at this Saturday night in Indio, Calif. at Stagecoach Festival, one of the nation’s most prominent country music festivals.

Shania is a five-time GRAMMY Award-winner and the reigning Queen of Country Pop. Dierks Bentley’s wife Cassidy raised more than $23,000 for Safe Haven Family Shelter in Nashville. She set up a donations page as she trained for her second Boston Marathon to help raise funds and awareness for the facility. The country singer and their three children, Evie, Jordan and Knox, wore special custom shirts and cheered for her on the sidelines.

Kacey Musgraves will join Willie Nelson at his annual Fourth of July Picnic this year. The event, held in Austin, Texas, will also feature performances from Sheryl Crow, Jamey Johnson, Steve Earle and Asleep at the Wheel, among others. Tickets go on sale Friday (April 21st).

Mickey Guyton helped celebrate Loretta Lynn’s 85th birthday on Friday (April 14th) by opening the show for the iconic legend at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. She was even able to get some much envied time together backstage, as well.

Shania Twain will join NBC’s The Voice as a mentor to the contestants this season. The multi-platinum superstar made the announcement on Twitter: “Excited to announce that I’ll appear on @nbcthevoice this month, as a mentor to the finalists.” She joins Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine and Alicia Keys on the show. Sam Hunt will join The Chainsmokers will perform at Club Nomadic in Houston surrounding the festivities leading up to Super Bowl 51 February 2nd. Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift are also scheduled to perform during the temporary club’s run before closing February 4th.

Keith Urban is scheduled to perform at the annual Legends Day concert before the start of the Indy 500 on Saturday, May 27th at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He’s also set to play the Country 500 festival May 28th at Daytona International Speedway. Kid Rock, Kip Moore, Easton Corbin, Eric Paslay and many more will also perform.

Shania Twain will be the subject of a new exhibit set to open at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum June 26th. “Being able to revisit favorite costumes, photographs and memories from my career has been a special feeling, especially as this year will see a new stage for me with a brand-new album,” says Shania of her upcoming exhibit.

Shania Twain will receive the 2016 Women in Music ‘Icon’ award, which celebrates an artist whose historic contributions to the music industry establish them among the highest class of performers. It will take place during Billboard’s 11th annual Women in Music event, held December 9th in New York City and airing nationally on Lifetime on December 12th.

“Shania Twain is a groundbreaking artist whose successful country-pop crossover blazed the trail for a new generation of country stars like Taylor Swift, Billboard’s 2014 Woman of the Year, and Carrie Underwood,” said Janice Min, president and chief creative officer of The Hollywood Reporter-Billboard Media Group. “She’s fearless in her career, following her own path and pushing the boundaries of the country music genre as she creates music that has proven to be timeless. She is revered in the industry and we are honored to present the Icon award to her.”

Over the course of her almost three-decade career, Twain has earned four No. 1 albums on Top Country Albums, with 2002’s Up! also topping the Billboard 200. Her smash hit album Come On Over is the No. 1 country album of all time, and the second best-selling album overall since Nielsen Music began tracking sales in 1991 — it’s moved a staggering 15.7 million units in the U.S. Come On Over also holds the record for the most weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart at 50 weeks. The 11th annual Women in Music event is held December 9th in New York City and airs nationally on Lifetime on December 12th. The star-studded event is held in conjunction with the publication of Billboard’s Women in Music list, which identifies the 50 most powerful female executives in the industry each year.

The CMT Artists of the Year special airs Thursday (October 20th), and will include performances by Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild, Kelsea Ballerini, Meghan Trainor, jill Scott and Zara Larsson. They’ll pay tribute to honorees Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett and Carrie Underwood. Karen is expected to sing with Luke, while Kelsea, Meghan and Jill will honor Shania Twain, who will receive the Artist of a Lifetime Award.

Taped live at Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center, the CMT Artists of the Year special will air Thursday (October 20th) at 9pm ET/PT on CMT.
