  • CHRISTMAS 2020: Jon Pardi

Jon Pardi likes a good holiday movie. One of his favorite Christmas films is Bad Santa, starring Billy Bob Thornton, but for the PG crowd, it would have to be Elf.

“Bad Santa’s pretty good,” he says. “But I have to say if you’re gonna watch it with little cousins, I would have to say Elf is pretty much probably one of the funniest Christmas movies to ever be that new and beat out all of the old Christmas movies. It is definitely up there.”

This year, he and his new bride, Summer, will have a pretty low-key Christmas, due to COVID-19. “This year for Christmas, I think it’s just gonna be chill, staying home, a couple friends over, you know, a couple of stragglers who doesn’t have a place to go COVID-free, and cook a meal and just celebrate Christmas low-key,” says the California native. “You can’t really do the big gatherings and it doesn’t seem like California is going to be the best place to go visit. So, I think we’re just gonna chill at the house and have Christmas.”

One of his favorite memories is of his grandmother’s Christmas tree, and he attributes that to his love for Elvis and the song, “Blue Christmas.”

“One of my favorite memories of my grandmother’s tree, and I think …why I love Elvis so much, and she loved Elvis. She had an ornament and it was Elvis, and it was always on her tree. You’d go and you’d hit a button, and it’d sing ‘Blue Christmas.’ And it just went, ‘I’ll have a Blue Christmas without you.’ And I’d just always t hit it, and he’d be doing like his pose with a microphone, so yeah, ‘Blue Christmas’ and that ornament, I think that’s probably why I like Elvis so much. Hey man, I’ll have a Blue Christmas…”

Jon’s latest single, “Ain’t Always the Cowboy,” is closing in on the top of the country charts.

Audio / For Christmas 2020, Jon Pardi and his brand-new wife, Summer, will most likely be hanging at their ranch outside of Nashville.

Audio / JON PARDI SAYS GETTING A GUITAR FOR CHRISTMAS WHEN HE WAS A YOUNG BOY – EVEN THOUGH HE DIDN’T TAKE CARE OF IT – PROBABLY SPARKED HIS INTEREST IN MAKING MUSIC FOR A LIVING.

Jon Pardi (guitar for Christmas) OC: …that guitar. :32
“One Christmas I got a guitar, but I was real young, so this guitar spent multiple nights in the backyard and probably got hit by a sprinkler. I was a kid. I didn’t know what to do with this thing. It was like I knew how to strum it, but I didn’t know how to take care of it. I must’ve been six or five, you know, I thought it was kind of a toy then, but it started the whole spark. So, I always kind of say, I always tell parents you just never know, if you get a little toy that’s a guitar or drum set, you never know what that’ll spark in a child’s mind. So, who would’ve know if I had never gotten that guitar.”

• JORDAN DAVIS LENDS A HAND TAGGING A GREAT WHITE SHARK.

Jordan Davis recently assisted OCEARCH on a recent expedition to Nova Scotia. Jordan was able to be on board the M/V OCEARCH to assist with the sampling and tagging of 17 foot, 3,500+ pound great white shark Nukumi.

“Growing up in Louisiana and being an avid outdoorsman, loving being on the water…a passion for the environment was instilled very early,” says Jordan. “I went to LSU, and I graduated in environmental science. My path led to music, and music is something that I’m extremely passionate about, but my love for the environment has never, never died out. When you see what OCEARCH does, and you see the people that are just as passionate about the ocean as maybe you would say I am about music. It was an easy connection. I’m a fan. I love what you’re doing. You’re leaving the world a better place than it is now.”

  • GARY ALLAN TO PREMIERE NEW MUSIC VIDEO “WASTE OF A WHISKEY DRINK.”

EMI Records Nashville’s Gary Allan will premiere his new music video “Waste Of A Whiskey Drink” today (December 2nd) at 5:45pm CT during a YouTube ‘red carpet.’ The video premiere will include a live chat with Allan and his fans. Allan plays the bartender pouring drinks for a pair of newly single strangers, as they try to get over their exes together with one too many shots. Watch the new music video HERE. “Waste Of A Whiskey Drink” is currently climbing the charts at country radio.

With the allure of a modern-day outlaw, Gary Allan has won over fans, peers and critics with his signature blend of smoldering vocals, rebellious lyrics and raucous live performances. While becoming a force on the country music scene, Allan has remained true to his artistic voice each step of the way. In 2016 Allan re-signed with Universal Music Group Nashville, the label home for the entirety of his twenty-four year career. His last album, Set You Free, topped the all-genre Billboard 200, a career first for Allan.  The album also made its debut at the top of the Billboard Country Album chart (for the fourth time in a row) and produced his fifth #1 country radio chart topper with “Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain).”  The California native released his first album, Used Heart for Sale, in 1996 and since then has released eight additional studio albums selling over 8 million albums, been certified platinum on three back-to-back albums, and been certified gold five times.  Allan has five #1 hits at country radio, fourteen Top 10 hits to his credit and amassed over 1.5 billion total streams. His album Smoke Rings in the Dark recently celebrated its 20th anniversary with the release of his first ever vinyl appearance. He’s described as “dark and dreamy” in Entertainment Weekly, “soulful and rough around the edges” in Playboy and deemed a “maverick” by Rolling Stone.  He has sold out venues as a headliner from NY to LA, appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Live with Kelly and Michael and Jimmy Kimmel Live. He has also landed on the covers of Country Weekly, Pollstar and People magazine.

  • SINGER-SONGWRITER ADAM HAMBRICK IS EXCITED TO PERFORM IN AN UPCOMING EPISODE OF ABC’S HIT ROMANCE REALITY SERIES “THE BACHELORETTE.”

Adam Hambrick is a proud participant in an upcoming episode of ABC’s “The Bachelorette.” The episode will feature a special performance of one of Hambrick’s newest songs, “Between Me and the End of the World” for the newest Bachelorette, Tayshia Adams and her lucky date. This episode of “The Bachelorette,” currently celebrating its 16th season, is scheduled to air Tuesday (December 8th) at 8pm ET/7pm CT on ABC.

“Between Me and the End of the World,” is a heartfelt tribute to Hambrick’s wife, a physician assistant who has been treating patients throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, and what it has been like for Adam watching her help those in need despite the risk to her own self.

“This song is for all the people who step in and serve people when things go horribly wrong,” says Adam. “I have spent this quarantine watching my wife go off to work as a physician assistant to do her version of that, testing and treating people for the virus. It has given me a new appreciation for all the people who spend their lives serving others in difficult times. It’s terrifying seeing someone you love do what they were made to do but have to do it in harm’s way.”

Adam’s most recent projects, Top Down, Southbound (released this past September) and Love Is Quicksand (released last month, October), are both comprised of two songs each. Adam playfully describes the projects as ‘Flipsides,’ a series of two track releases bound together by a common thread. Adam will release a final ‘Flipside’ at the beginning of 2021, culminating into a complete body of work.

Bachelor Nation first welcomed Tayshia Adams on the 23rd season of “The Bachelor,” where a sudden turn of events ended her relationship with a tearful and unexpected goodbye. However, she was no stranger to dealing with heartbreak, after having experienced it in her past marriage. So, a hopeful and determined Tayshia returned to find love in a romantic oasis during the sixth season of “Bachelor in Paradise,” where the match she made was not her forever love. Now with the support of her family and friends, and her parents’ 32-year marriage to look up to, she is ready to leave behind her past relationships and bring her purest of intentions to give love another chance, as the unprecedented 16th season of “The Bachelorette” continues.

    ABOUT ADAM HAMBRICK
Capitol Records Nashville / Buena Vista Records’ Adam grew up in both Mississippi and Arkansas, being influenced by artists such as Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, John Mayer and The Foo Fighters. From an early age, Adam’s musical roots were grounded in the church singing hymns with his family, where his dad was a Baptist pastor and his mom played piano. After graduating from the University of Central Arkansas, the singer-songwriter made an appearance on KATV’s Good Morning Arkansas, a local Little Rock, Arkansas ABC affiliate, where fellow Arkansas-native and country star Justin Moore happened to be watching and was impressed by Adam’s unique voice and distinctive songs. Soon after, Justin’s producer Jeremy Stover reached out opening the door for Adam to move to Nashville and pursue music full-time. Adam has written a multitude of songs and has received numerous cuts for other artists including Miranda Lambert and Eli Young Band, as well as, No. 1 hits for Dan + Shay (“How Not To”) and Justin Moore (“Somebody Else Will”). Adam has continued to hone his songwriting and vocal skills, while performing live with artists including Brett Young, Jordan Davis, LANCO, and more. Adam released his first two singles “Rockin’ All Night Long” and “Forever Ain’t Long Enough.”
