  • LITTLE BIG TOWN GETS EXHIBIT AT THE COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME.

Little Big Town has received their own major exhibit, titled “The Power of Four,” at Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. During a private celebration on Tuesday night (July 26th), the group talked about being a band for two decades, awards and much more.

“We’re dreamers. We still see ourselves as those scrapping kids that don’t think we’ve made it yet. I think we still have a lot left in our minds left to do, things we want to do,” says LBT’s Phillip Sweet. “But it’s incredible to have been able to see this and to be able to speak about some of these memories and these things that, it’s so great to relieve some of these moments. It’s incredible.”

On display are their Grammy and Emmy awards, as well as a high school English paper Taylor Swift wrote about them. The exhibit runs June 29th, 2018 to June 9th, 2019.

Little Big Town recently released their new song, “Summer Fever.” The group embarks on The Bandwagon Tour with Miranda Lambert beginning July 12th in Charlotte, North Carolina.

  • DIERKS BENTLEY IS FIRED UP OVER NEW SINGLE, ‘BURNING MAN,’ FEATURING BROTHERS OSBORNE.

Dierks Bentley’s “Burning Man” (featuring Brothers Osborne) from his No. One selling album THE MOUNTAIN was released as his next single at Country radio today. “The hard-charging” (Newsday) track opens the album on a fiery-but-reflective note, fusing propulsive beats with booming vocals and guitars to describe the star– a restless spirit with his feet firmly on the ground. The “combustible new track” (Rolling Stone) follows his 17th career No. One “Woman, Amen” and implements “a rousing ode to middle-aged duality” (Paste).

“I just love that song. I could really relate to the lyrics,” says Dierks. “In the studio, Jedd Hughes put down this great guitar part, and I thought, ‘Man, John would be really cool on that,’ and then, obviously TJ has a, I love his singing. Great voice. I would’ve asked them to be on it regardless, I really would have, but the fact they’re on tour with us just makes it all that sweeter. Those guys are the perfect group to do it with and they definitely took it to a new spot and now we get to sing it every night on stage, so it worked out really well.”

Brothers Osborne are making their way up the country charts with their single, “Shoot Me Straight,” from the critically-acclaimed album, Port Saint Joe.

Dierks, John and TJ will join up together July 20th at the Country Thunder festival in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin and will resume dates for their Mountain High trek July 21st in Indianapolis.

  • KIP MOORE FELT PEACE WHEN MAKING HIS RECENT ALBUM, SLOWHEART.

When Kip Moore was making his album Slowheart last year, he felt more peace with himself and with his music than he had ever felt before and he said it’s all due to his fans.

“It was simply a more peace making this record because I finally learned through the ups and downs of Wild Ones that I had a fan base that was true,” says Kip. “They were truly fans and I felt they were latching on to the honesty, so I felt more open about showing whatever vulnerabilities I had, whatever directions I wanted to go. I could take them on whatever journey I wanted, and as long as I felt I stayed true to myself, I had a sense of peace that they were gonna come along for the ride. So I felt like that shined through in the project and I felt like I was a little more at peace making this project, so the melodies came out a little different.”

His latest hit, “Last Shot,” is from Slowheart and is the follow-up to his fourth No. 1 song, “More Girls Like You.”

  • KEITH URBAN PREFERS “COMING HOME” TO HIS FAMILY.

Keith Urban’s latest single, “Coming Home” featuring Julia Michaels, is closing in on the top of the country charts, and the song resonates with his fans, many of whom can’t just drop everything and go home to be around their families and friends for a few days. Keith felt that same way when he packed up and left Australia for the bright lights of Nashville to pursue a long-held dream.

“I moved to Nashville 26 years ago, ‘cause this is where I wanted to live since I was little kid, and it was a magical city for me. I was dreaming of being here, I loved being here, but it was really tough as well,” says Keith. “There was plenty of times I wished I could get in my car and go home for the weekend and just be around my family, and I couldn’t that, so that feeling’s always stayed with me. And the difference between phoning home or texting or face-timing, as Julia [Michaels] says in the bridge, ‘I know it’s only one call away/but it’s not the same.’”

He feels the same way today about his own family, which includes wife Nicole Kidman and their daughters Sunday (Sunny) and Faith, and a phone call or Facetime just won’t suffice.

Keith, who recently released his Graffiti U album, is currently on tour. The Graffiti U Tour just played Detroit and Pittsburgh and is headed to Saratoga Springs, New York on Wednesday (June 27th), followed by a two-night stand in Toronto, Ontario on Friday (June 29th and 30th).

Audio / Keith Urban says nothing replaces actually coming home to be with his family.

Keith Urban (Nashville and Coming Home) OC: …not the same. :50
“When I heard that rolling guitar sample in the chord structure that we came up with, that chorus just fell out in kind of almost a stream of consciousness. I looked at it and thought, ‘Oh, this is a song about coming home. [laughs] This is a song about…’ For me, I moved to Nashville 26 years ago, ‘cause this is where I wanted to live since I was little kid, and it was a magical city for me. I was dreaming of being here, I loved being here, but it was really tough as well. There was plenty of times I wished I could get in my car and go home for the weekend and just be around my family, and I couldn’t that, so that feeling’s always stayed with me. • DARIUS RUCKER DECIDED TO RECORD ‘STRAIGHT TO HELL’ AFTER SPENDING SOME HANG TIME WITH LADY A’S CHARLES KELLEY.

Darius Rucker has released his new single, “Straight to Hell,” a remake of the 1989 Drivin’ ‘N Cryin’ hit, featuring his famous friends Luke Bryan, Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum and Jason Aldean. Darius recorded the favorite bar singalong once Charles talked him into it, and he enlisted even more star power once he decided to take it into the studio when working on his new album, When Was the Last Time.

“It came out in ’89 when I was just playing clubs with Hootie [& the Blowfish]. It was a big song to us. It was a big song to everybody around us. It was a big Southern song, and I always thought it was a country song,” says Darius from the set of the video for “Straight to Hell.”

“I wanted to cut it and Charles told me I should cut it one day, and I just started calling my friends. I called Charles. I called Jason. I called Luke, and I said, ‘Hey man, I’m doing this song.’ They all loved the song, and we got to do a video for it.”

“It was funny. We were sitting around one night — ‘cause we hang out all the time, we play a lot of golf — we were drinking and listening to Drivin’ ‘N Cryin’ and ‘Straight to Hell’ came on and I was like, ‘Dude, you could do ‘Straight to Hell,’ recalls Charles. “I was like, man, it kind of reminded me a little bit kind of the phenomenon of ‘Wagon Wheel,’ how big that song is. We had the crazy idea of like, ‘Dude you should do this.’ And he goes, ‘If I’m gonna sing it, you’ve got to be on it.’ And so the next thing you know, we start talking and he goes, ‘We need some other people.’ Literally, I think he reached out to Luke, and the next thing you know – I can’t remember how it all happened – but I think Jason was like, ‘Why didn’t you call me and ask me?’ And so all of a sudden, we have this little foursome, The Troublemakers as Darius likes to call it.”

Darius will kick off his co-headline Summer Plays On Tour with Lady Antebellum July 19th in Toronto, Ontario.

I went to the University of Georgia, and it was a huge bar band, cover band type of song. But like people like my wife, who went to Arizona State, never had heard of the song. I was like, man, it kind of reminded me a little bit kind of the phenomenon of ‘Wagon Wheel,’ how big that song is. • CHRIS STAPLETON IS FLYING HIGH WITH THE EAGLES.

Chris Stapleton will open for the Eagles on Saturday (June 23rd) in Dallas, and he couldn’t be more thrilled to share the stage with the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers again (he played a show with them in Houston last week).

“One of the greatest shows I ever went to in my life was The Eagles’ Hell Freezes Over Tour in ’95?,” recalls Chris. “My memory of it is [that] I went there, I saved all my money and I bought me and my brother a ticket, and it was at the Charleston Civic Center in West Virginia in1995. I was 17, 16, 17, and we drove the four hours from my hometown to go watch that show, and they played for four hours. They played all the Eagles hits, and then they took turns singing all their solo stuff with the Eagles as the backup band. So, I don’t think you could ask for much more out of a show. And it was flawless, every piece of it was flawless.”

He adds, “So, to get to go play a show with those guys, and I know they lost Glenn Frey and I’m real sad about that, but Vince is in the band now and I know vince pretty well, and I’m excited to play with all those guys. Really cool.”

Before he plays Saturday’s show, he’s taking his All American Road Show tour to Rogers, Arkansas on Friday (June 22nd).

Chris is climbing the country charts with his latest song, “Millionaire,” which is from his award-winning album, From A Room: Volume 2.

Audio / Chris Stapleton is thrilled to open a few dates for the legendary Eagles, who he says put on one of the best concerts in his life when he was 16 or 17 years old.
