• MICKEY GUYTON RELEASES ALBUM TITLE TRACK REMEMBER HER NAME.

    Capitol Nashville’s Mickey Guyton released the title track today from her album, Remember Her Name.  The song written by Guyton, Parker Welling, Black Hubbard and Jarrod Ingram and produced by Karen Kosowski is an anthem about finding strength through hard times.

    The vocal powerhouse posted the news on her socials, writing, “It almost doesn’t feel real yet, but my new song ‘Remember Her Name’ is officially out everywhere now! This song means so, so much to me. Not only does this song represent my journey, but I hope the message reflects yours as well. This is our story.”

    Mickey is coming off an incredible year that saw her co-hosting the 56th Academy of Country Music Awards in April with labelmate Keith Urban, a historic performance and nomination for “Black Like Me” on the 63rd GRAMMY Awards in March and “Black Like Me” being named a Top 5 song of 2020 (all genre) by NPR and Associated Press.

    On July 28th, Turning the Tables with Robin Roberts premiered on Disney+ including an episode featuring Mickey, Jamie Lee Curtis and Billie Jean King.   • BROTHERS OSBORNE, LITTLE BIG TOWN AND MICKEY GUYTON ARE AMONG THE ARTISTS JOINING MILEY CYRUS FOR HER STAND BY YOU PRIDE SPECIAL.

    Brothers Osborne, Little Big Town and Mickey Guyton are among the artists joining Miley Cyrus for an hour-long special, Miley Cyrus Presents Stand By You to celebrate Pride month. Maren Morris and Orville Peck will also perform during the special. “The Climb” singer will put her own spin on such classics as “Believe,” “Dancing Queen” and a Madonna medley featuring “Express Yourself” and “Like a Prayer.”

  • DIERKS, CARRIE, BROTHERS OSBORNE, LUKE, ERIC, MICKEY AND DARIUS WILL BE FEATURED DURING THE THREE-HOUR ABC-TV SPECIAL, CMA SUMMER JAM.

    The CMA announced a new TV special, CMA Summer Jam, which is a three-hour star-studded concert event on September 2nd at 8pm ET on ABC. Filmed at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater and other locations at some of the hottest spots in Music City, the special features performances and collaborations curated by the artists themselves.

    Artists such as Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Mickey Guyton, Darius Rucker and Carrie Underwood, as well as Jimmie Allen, Gabby Barrett, Breland, Luke Combs, Florida Georgia Line, HARDY, Miranda Lambert, Carly Pearce, Thomas Rhett, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Cole Swindell, Lainey Wilson and Dwight Yoakam.

  • NEWS AND NOTES: Alan Jackson, Mickey Guyton, Brothers Osborne, Kylie Morgan

    Alan Jackson is set to headline the benefit concert, “Where I Come From,” on Saturday (June 26th) to help raise funds for his hometown, which was impacted by spring tornadoes. The show will help citizens of Newnan, Georgia, which was devastated by a powerful EF-4 tornado on March 26th. Alan and his wife Denise were born and raised in Newnan. His portion of the show will stream live on his Facebook page beginning at 8:30pm ET.

     

    Alan Jackson and Mickey Guyton are set to perform during A Capitol Fourth on the Fourth of July on PBS beginning at 8pm ET. Vanessa Williams, Gladys Knight, Jimmy Buffett, Jimmie Allen and Train are also among the stars performing during the special.

  • CHRIS STAPLETON ADDS COLLABORATION WITH H.E.R. ; LITTLE BIG TOWN & MICKEY GUYTON WILL PRESENT FOR THE CMT MUSIC AWARDS AIRING WEDNESDAY.

    CMT today revealed the final star-studded lineup of final performers and presenters for the 2021 “CMT Music Awards.” Adding to its already-stacked roster of world premiere collaborations, the show will feature H.E.R., making her first country awards show appearance, performing with Chris Stapleton; and a CMT main stage debut from Ingrid Andress, featuring a world premiere collaboration with JP Saxe. Hosted by superstars Kelsea Ballerini and Kane Brown, the 2021 “CMT Music Awards” airs Wednesday, June 9th at 8p/7c on CMT, MTV, MTV2, Logo, Paramount Network, TV Land and CMT Australia.

  • MICKEY GUYTON HELPS HONOR AND PAY TRIBUTE TO PIONEER LINDA MARTELL WITH THE CMT EQUAL PLAY AWARD.

    Mickey Guyton hosted a tribute to country pioneer Linda Martell, the only black female country artist who scored a Top 20 single, “Color Him Father,” on country radio in 1969 and the first black woman to perform on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry. Martell was awarded with the CMT Equal Play Award, which promotes diversity.

     

    Mickey, along with Carrie Underwood, Darius Rucker, 2020 CMT Equal Play recipient Jennifer NettlesRissi Palmer and Rhiannon Giddens, highlighted Martell’s contributions via video. Martell wasn’t able to be in Nashville to accept the award in person.

    Mickey also performed with Breland followed by an electric performance with the legendary Gladys Knight.

  • CARRIE UNDERWOOD, LUKE BRYAN, LAUREN ALAINA, JON PARDI, MICKEY GUYTON ADDED TO LIST OF PERFORMERS AT THIS YEAR’S CMT MUSIC AWARDS.

    This year’s CMT Music Awards will include cool collaborations, featuring some of the format’s biggest stars. Carrie Underwood will team with Christian supergroup NEEDTOBREATHE; while Lauren Alaina and Jon Pardi pair up. More collaborations include Mickey Guyton and BRELANDLuke Bryan and Thomas Rhett, as well as Chris Stapleton and Luke Combs.

    Previously announced performances and collabs include Brothers Osborne and Dierks Bentley, Mickey Guyton and Gladys Knight and the Marfa Tapes trio of Miranda Lambert, Jack Ingram and Jon Randall. 

    The top six finalists will be revealed for “Video of the Year” Tuesday (June 1st) with voting for the night’s most sought-after prize continuing through the show on June 9th.

    The 2021 CMT Music Awards will air from Nashville on Wednesday, June 9th at 8pm ET/7pm CT.

     

  • MICKEY, ALAN AND VINCE TAKE PART IN PBS’ MEMORIAL DAY CONCERT.

    Alan Jackson, Mickey Guyton and Vince Gill performed during this year’s National Memorial Day Concert on PBS in honor of the upcoming 20th anniversary of the deadly September 11th attacks.

    Mickey kicked off the evening with her stunning performance of the National Anthem.

    Alan performed his song “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning),”

     

     

    While Vince performed “Go Rest High On That Mountain.”

     

  • CARRIE UNDERWOOD, LUKE BRYAN, DIERKS BENTLEY, JON PARDI, MICKEY GUYTON, BROTHERS OSBORNE AND MORE WILL PERFORM DURING CMA SUMMER JAM.

    Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Jon Pardi, Mickey Guyton, Brothers Osborne are among the artists taking part in CMA Summer Jam later this month. The two-night event at Music City’s Ascend Amphitheater will take place July 27th and 28th and will also feature performances by Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Dwight Yoakam, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Florida Georgia Line, Gabby Barrett, Jimmie Allen, Cole Swindell and more.

    According to the CMA, each setlist will be curated entirely by the artists! Both nights will be filmed for a primetime TV special airing later this summer on ABC.

    Due to the pandemic, the CMA decided not to hold  CMA Music Festival in 2020 and 2021, but are currently planning a return to downtown Nashville in 2022.

  • MICKEY GUYTON WILL RELEASE ALBUM REMEMBER HER NAME SEPTEMBER 24th.

    Mickey Guyton will release her album, Remember Her Name, on September 24th.  Mickey co-penned 15 of the 16 songs on the album. Remember Her Name follows the release of her critically acclaimed EP Bridges which included “Black Like Me” for which she went on to receive a historic GRAMMY nomination.  Her performance on the prestigious GRAMMY show was the first by a Black female country artist and was touted by NPR as “the night’s most affecting live performance.”

    Remember Her Name is a culmination of the last ten years of my life in Nashville,” shares Guyton.  “This album is the closing of a chapter.  All those years ago, I set out to create music that would make people feel self-empowered, loved, and comfortable with being themselves and this album holds true to all of that. I hope everyone who listens finds something that connects and speaks to them.”
