• BROTHERS OSBORNE’S DEBUT ALBUM, PAWN SHOP, CELEBRATES ITS EIGHTH ANNIVERSARY.

Brothers Osborne are celebrating the eighth anniversary of their debut album, Pawn Shop, on Monday (January 15th). The original collection was released January 15th, 2016.

The collection, produced by Jay Joyce (Eric Church, Little Big Town, Cage the Elephant and Zac Brown Band), featured 11 songs written by brothers John and TJ Osborne, including their No. 1 single, “Stay a Little Longer,” the nostalgic “21 Summer,” the rowdy Top 10 hit “It Ain’t My Fault” and the playful, summer singalong “Rum.”

“Every song is held together by John and I and what we do, but we want it to be kind of these different scenes in every track,” says TJ. “We went through a lot, a lot of material and listened to it over and over and over…I think every artist struggles with [picking songs for an album]. If you think of all of your life’s work being summed up in 11 songs, that’s really, really challenging.”

    Pawn Shop Track List:
    1. Dirt Rich (Brothers Osborne, Barry Dean)
    2. 21 Summer (Brothers Osborne, Craig Wiseman)
    3. Stay a Little Longer (Brothers Osborne, Shane McAnally)
    4. Pawn Shop (Brothers Osborne, Sean McConnell)
    5. Rum (Brothers Osborne, Barry Dean)
    6. Loving Me Back (Brothers Osborne, Casey Beathard)
    7. American Crazy (Brothers Osborne, Ross Copperman)
    8. Greener Pastures (Brothers Osborne, Ryan Hurd and Maren Morris)
    9. Down Home (Brothers Osborne, Jessi Alexander)
    10. Heart Shaped Locket (TJ Osborne, Lisa Carver and Andi Zack)
    11. It Ain’t My Fault (Brothers Osborne, Jessi Alexander)

The guys are currently climbing the country charts with their latest song, “Nobody’s Nobody,” from their new self-titled album.

Brothers Osborne (picking songs for album) OC: …really challenging. :55
“We really focused on having this album be, every song is held together by John and I and what we do, but we want it to be kind of these different scenes in every track. So, that’s really, really difficult to whittle that down. I don’t know. We went through a lot, a lot of material and listened to it over and over and over. Some of the songs when you’re listening to ‘em, you’re not sure how they’re gonna turn out when you finally record them. I mean, it’s pretty often a lot of times the song that you think is gonna be the best song, the easiest song to record ends up being the hardest one and sometimes doesn’t turn out that great. Then there’s these little diamonds-in-the-rough that’s usually the last song you just threw on the session just ‘cause you had the time, and it’s just suddenly that’s the one, you know? I don’t know why that is, but I think that’s really challenging. I think every artist struggles with [picking songs for an album]. If you think of all of your life’s work being summed up in 11 songs, that’s really, really challenging.”

  • BREAKOUT COUNTRY HITMAKER JOSH ROSS RELEASES TWO-SONG PACK “SINGLE AGAIN” AND “TRUCK GIRL,” OUT NOW.

Breakout country singer-songwriter Josh Ross sets the tone for 2024 with the release of two compelling tracks, “Single Again” and “Truck Girl,” available today. Weaving his personal narrative into relatable lyrics, the songs showcase Ross’ own journey in life and music. Both tracks were produced by frequent collaborator, Matt Geroux, who produced Ross’ previous releases including “Trouble,” “Red Flags,” “First Taste of Gone,” and “On A Different Night.”

Listen to “Single Again” and “Truck Girl” HERE

“I wanted to kick off 2024 with two songs that I feel highlight the two different sides of me as a person,” shares Ross. “These songs are based on real-life situations I feel people can relate to as well as personal experiences I’ve had.”

“Single Again” explores a specific moment in time, with Ross sharing a personal anecdote of an unexpected encounter. “‘Single Again’ leans into how timing can sometimes be everything. I ran into my high school crush at a bar and wanted to buy her a drink. She let me know she had a boyfriend and I remember saying ‘well let me know if you’re ever single again’.”

“Truck Girl” delves into the intense feelings associated with a love lost. Ross reflects on the song, “’Truck Girl’ is about realizing and processing the raw emotion that comes from having that person you thought could be your forever, walk away for good.”

These releases offer a glimpse into forthcoming music, and Ross is eager to connect with fans and bring his fresh sound both on and off stage, “I’m stoked to share these two songs with a promise for lots of new music this year.”

Recently named one of MusicRow’s Next Big Thing artists for 2024, Ross will kick off his debut headline tour across Canada, THE TROUBLE TOUR, this weekend. After previously joining Bailey Zimmerman as special guest on a run of shows last year, Ross will support Zimmerman on RELIGIOUSLY. THE TOUR. and will perform at high-profile festivals including Stagecoach. For tickets and a full list of tour dates, please visit JoshRossMusic.com.

2023 was marked by the release of his debut US radio single, “Trouble” his awaited Grand Ole Opry debut and winning the ‘Breakthrough Artist of the Year’ award at the Canadian Country Music Awards. With more than 266 million streams worldwide, Ross continues to carve out his place in Country music on both sides of the border.

  • JON PARDI CELEBRATES A DECADE SINCE THE RELEASE OF HIS DEBUT ALBUM, WRITE YOU A SONG.

Jon Pardi released his debut album, Write You a Song, 10 years ago this week (January 14th, 2014). The California native grew up listening and singing songs by his heroes — George Strait, Dwight Yoakam, Merle Haggard, Alan Jackson — with his grandmother, has since exploded on the country charts with six No. 1 songs.

Write You A Song contains both of Pardi’s breakthrough hits—“Missin’ You Crazy” and “Up All Night”–as well as tracks that veer from pure honky-tonk and party songs to tales of love and romance. The bottom line, though, is pure, stage-worthy high energy.

“All I ever wanted to do coming to Nashville,” says Jon, “was to write rowdy, in-your-face, straight country music, and that’s what this album is.”

The album’s title track packs the kind of punch that marks Pardi as heir to a honky-tonk line that runs through Buck Owens and Dwight Yoakam, and its spare instrumentation brings a purist’s grit to heartfelt tales of road life. “What I Can’t Put Down” is an ode to the addictive nature of cigarettes, alcohol, love and, above all, music. “Trash A Hotel Room” is not, as might be expected, a tale of road excess, but rather a tale of two lovers getting back to basics, and “Happens All The Time” makes a terrific song out of a pick-up line. If there is a bit of autobiographical philosophy here, it’s in the fan-favorite “Chasin’ Them Better Days,” an infectious look at hope and dreams in the worlds of music and love.

Jon is currently making his way up the country charts with “Cowboys And Plowboys” with Luke Bryan.

Jon Pardi (Write You a Song) OC: …a Song. :51  NOTE: Audio isn’t the best quality.
“Well, ‘Write You a Song’ was the second song I’d ever co-written in Nashville, and it was like 2010, maybe in 2009, and it just stuck for so long. That’s a long time to just stick around, but once you hear it, it’s just so in your face and it’s fun. It’s talking about this guy that tours around the country in a van, and he’d always meet girls at shows, and he’s just having fun and they’re having fun. It doesn’t sound like me at all, you know, it doesn’t sound like me at all. But, this song has brought that guy to life, who’s not me, I’m just saying. It’s about writing chicks songs, and as I listen to the 11 songs, ‘Write You a Song,’ sticks out, and that’s why it’s the title track. It’s like you want to have a title for your essay you turned in in high school, or you have a title for your track list. Boom – ‘Write You a Song.’”

  • JON PARDI: “COWBOYS AND PLOWBOYS” SIMILARITIES INTERSECT.

Jon Pardi has climbed into the Top 40 on the country charts with his new single “Cowboys And Plowboys” with pal and labelmate Luke Bryan. Jon represents the cowboy side of things with his ranching experience, while Luke embodies the characteristics and lifestyle of the plowboys (or farmers). However, the two are not completely separate, but contain many similarities as showcased in the song, written by Rhett Akins, Jacob Rice and Cole Taylor.

“Both farming and ranching is hard work, and if you do it for a living, you know,” says Jon.
“You have that bond of hard work together, and I think it’s really special. Of course, there’s ranching, you’ve got to drive tractors and there’s a lot of similar stuff in both of farming and ranching, so it’s just an awesome song.”

The recently-crowned Grand Ole Opry member will head to Mexico for Luke’s annual Crash My Playa event later this month. The four-day event takes place January 17th-20th at the Moon Palace Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

Jon and his wife Summer just announced they’re expecting baby number-two, who will be welcomed by big sister, 11-month-old Presley.

  • TYLER HUBBARD KEEPS GROWING IN HIS SOLO ERA.

Tyler Hubbard has followed up two previous solo number-one songs with his latest “Back Then Right Now,” which is currently sitting at number-25. He feels like he’s in a good rhythm with his career and his hopes are to keep growing.

“Well, hopefully, I can have two more number-ones, (slight laugh) and honestly, I just want to keep doing what I’m doing,” says Tyler. “I’m really in a groove, and it feels good to be in a rhythm. For so long I was a little bit out of rhythm and out of practice and had to really try to work hard to work those muscles creatively and figure out unique ways to do that. So, yeah, to be out, to be on the road, to be comfortable on a bus and comfortable on stage and really feeling like I have the show dialed, it feels really good. So, really, I just want to keep growing. That’s been really a fun thing to see, like every show, I feel like, man, we’re just two-percent stronger, two-percent stronger, two-percent stronger, and even if I just stay on pace that I’m right now, I’m real excited to see where it goes and just continue to do what I love. That’s what it’s all about, and I’m getting to do that, so I feel like I’m in a great place and so happy.”

Tyler, who is making his way up the country charts with his latest single “Back Then Right Now,” has a handful of dates next month before joining Kane Brown on his In The Air Tonight Tour March 28th in Charlottesville, Virginia.
