As part of Gaylord Opryland Resort’s 39^th annual A Country Christmas event, Universal Music Group Nashville is hosting Parade of Trees, a display where their world-renowned artists have come together to showcase Christmas trees decorated by Grand Ole Opry members Alan Jackson, Keith Urban, Little Big Town and Reba McEntire, along with George Strait, Jon Pardi, Jordan Davis, Kacey Musgraves, Luke Bryan, Maddie & Tae, Sam Hunt and Tyler Hubbard.

Along with their trees, country music’s biggest stars have each donated “Once in a Lifetime” VIP experiences (fly-aways, VIP concert experiences, exclusive merchandise and more) all to benefit First Responders Children’s Foundation. Proceeds raised will provide scholarships and mental health services to children who have lost a parent in the line of duty including a new collaboration with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® for the local Monroe Carell Jr Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

Nashville singer/songwriter Sam Williams released a tear-jerking music video for his emotional new song “Tilted Crown,” a featured track on his recently released deluxe album Glasshouse Children: Tilted Crown. In an exclusive Facebook premiere earlier this week, the video, directed by brother-sister duo Alexa and Stephen Kinigopoulos of Running Bear and produced by Strange Arcade, shows Williams defenseless and bare. Filmed at the Historic Belcourt Theatre in Hillsboro Village of Nashville, Tenn., the visual delicately details the fleeting woes and blissful moments of Williams’ life in the form of a stage play.

Williams laments on the trials and tribulations of life, love and loss, the weight of his lineage, and finding hope and solace in his vulnerability. On the inspiration behind the video, Williams shares, “I wanted the video to watch like a play of my life. It shows pressure, grief and loss, and a sliver of hope. It’s a tragedy with a silver lining. I hope it inspires people to overcome adversity and be their true selves.”

The grandson of country pioneer Hank Williams and the son of outlaw legend Hank Jr., Sam Williams is the latest in a long line of American originals, but he’s not here for the sake of tradition. Sam Hunt unknowingly helped to heighten the awareness of the near-extinction of sea turtles and the efforts of people to preserve the marine wildlife with his latest music video for “Water Under The Bridge.” In the clip, he’s wearing a “Save The Ridley” vintage T-shirt by Sea Turtle, Inc., an organization dedicated to rehabilitating and releasing sea turtles as well as offering educational services and conservation efforts.

Sam wore the shirt because he thought it was “cool,” and didn’t realize the impact it would have on the organization.

“I didn’t necessarily put that shirt on with that specific cause in mind but when I found that shirt in a little shop, I thought it was really cool,” says Sam. “I definitely have a heart for nature and the preservation of nature and all wildlife, and I know turtles have had a problem over the years, especially they come up and lay their eggs on beaches that people like to frequent, and we all think it’s fun to go down and get an up-close look and it’s such a fragile little eco system. I didn’t necessarily have a connection to that specific place, but I just thought it was a cool T-shirt and a meaningful cause that if I was gonna throw on an old T-shirt, it might as well be that one.”

Sam adds, “There are some people who are very passionate about sea turtles and rightly so, and I think they do great work and I hope that the turtles and that magical thing that they do when they come up and have their eggs and cover them up and the little babies know which way to go, most of ‘em anyway. They go back to the ocean. Not all of them survive, but some of ‘em do. It’s a beautiful thing, so hopefully we can preserve that as long as possible.”

The Georgia native continues to hit the road. His next tour stop is in Charleston Navy Yard, South Carolina on September 2^nd, followed by shows in Doswell, Virginia, Canton and Cincinnati, Ohio.

Sam Hunt found the perfect location for the music video for his latest single, “Water Under The Bridge.” It’s a local Middle Tennessee fishing hole he found a few years ago, where he likes to catch small mouth bass.

“I like to catch small mouth bass and fly fish, and Middle Tennessee has some really good small mouth water, and yeah, that’s a cool little place I found several years ago,” says Sam. “I have a canoe that I’ll strap onto the top of the jeep or truck and take over there and float that little stretch and sometimes catch fish, sometimes not, but it’s so pretty over there it’s worth taking the trip in the summer or early fall.”

The Georgia native will definitely perform “Water Under The Bridge” when he performs this weekend. On Friday (August 12th), he’ll perform at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield; on Saturday (August 13th), he’ll be at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia; on Sunday (August 14th), he’s set to perform at the Q Casino in Dubuque, Iowa.
