• CHRISSY METZ TAKES FANS BEHIND-THE-SCENES OF HER MUSIC VIDEO FOR “TALKING TO GOD.”

Chrissy Metz just released the official video for her song, “Talking to God,” a few days ago.

The multi-talented singer-songwriter-actress takes fans behind-the-scenes of making the video.

“The song is so special to me,” explains Chrissy. “The first time I heard it, I was like- oh, this is me. I wish I would have written the song, but I surely have lived it because we all know what it’s like to make decisions we regret or think about people who are no longer in our lives.”

“Talking To God” along with recent releases “Actress” and “Feel Good,” give fans a glimpse of what to expect from the singer’s forthcoming debut project on EMI Records Nashville. Chrissy, who made her debut at the famed Grand Ole Opry this summer, signed a record deal with Universal Music Group Nashville following her starring role in 20th Century Fox’s Breakthrough movie and soundtrack featuring her performance of the Oscar-nominated, Diane Warren penned track, “I’m Standing With You.” Metz has also showcased her vocal abilities as “Kate Pearson” on NBC’s award-winning series This Is Us and calls music her “first love.” For more information, visit www.ChrissyMetzMusic.com.

  • CHRISSY METZ RELEASES THE UPLIFTING OFFICIAL VIDEO FOR HER SINGLE, “TALKING TO GOD.”

Chrissy Metz just released the uplifting official video for her single, “Talking to God.” Written by Nicolette Hayford, Connie Harrington, Jake Mitchell, Ashley McBryde and Aaron Raitiere, the introspective song is the first from Metz’s upcoming debut album on EMI Records Nashville.

“‘Talking To God’ is a song about those moments when we ask the questions we desperately want the answers to,” shares Metz. “Whether it’s a lost love or why our own lives look much different than the way we had hoped they would. It’s about those personal prayers and conversations we have while listening and learning to surrender and trust in the bigger picture.”

Metz signed a record deal with Universal Music Group Nashville following her starring role in 20th Century Fox’s Breakthrough movie and soundtrack featuring her performance of the Oscar-nominated, Diane Warren penned track, “I’m Standing With You.” Metz, who has also showcased her vocal abilities as “Kate Pearson” on NBC’s award-winning series This Is Us, calls music her “first love.”

  • CHRISSY METZ TAKES A LOOK BACK AT HER GRAND OLE OPRY DEBUT.

Chrissy Metz made her Grand Ole Opry debut a little over a month ago, and it was a dream come true. She performed several songs on that revered stage, including her debut single, “Talking To God.”

The singer, author and This is Us actress is set to return to the beloved NBC show with a two-hour premiere event November 10th.

  • CHRISSY METZ LOVES THE CREATIVE VIBE OF NASHVILLE.

While Hollywood turns out a lot of creative projects, sometimes it can take years for a movie or TV show to get finished. Chrissy Metz says the great thing about working in Nashville is that you can go into a room and four hours later come out with a song that didn’t exist before. She loves the creative vibe and the all the talented people in Music City.

She jokes that you could meet some of the most talented people ever here in Nashville, but you wouldn’t know it because they are also some of the most humble people you’d meet at the same time. Nashville has been the ‘it” city for a while now when it comes to attracting creative minds, and now that she’s moved here, Chrissy sees why. Working in country music and releasing her song “Talking to God” has allowed her to work with some of the best musicians in the industry, but she thinks the real perk is that they also some of the nicest people as well.

“What’s so special about, not only song writing, it’s like you get to go into a room with someone and 4 hours later have something that never existed before. With TV and film, there’s so many processes of when is the script…it could be 5, 10 years before it ever sees the light of day, but more over than that it’s like there are the most talented people in the world in this town, and you would never know it because they’re so humble, they’re so kind,” says Chrissy. “That for me is so exciting when I get to track my own music with these incredible musicians and they are just the kindest human beings. So, that just kind of confirms why I wanted to be here and why people love it here, and people inevitably end up coming here as musicians or any creative people.”

Award-winning actress Chrissy Metz releases brand new song “Actress” today. “Actress” follows her recent release “Talking to God,” which goes to country radio next month, and both are set to be featured on Metz’s upcoming debut album on EMI Records Nashville.

“I love a good break up song and I love the play on words,” says Metz of the song she penned with Nicolette Hayford, Matt McGinn and Nathan Spicer. “Obviously, I’m an actress, but we have all had those experiences where we put on that brave face when our heart is just broken, we act as if nothing is wrong even though you’re dying inside- wanting something so desperately you don’t have anymore.”

“This one (shew) really gets ya and it gets me every time. It’s one of those songs that I think everybody can relate to ’cause we all know how to put a brave face on. Obviously, it was written about a breakup and heartache, but interestingly enough, we wrote it in my house in L.A. but also in Nashville. So, we didn’t write it all at one time which sometimes doesn’t happen. But yeah, it was cool like a bicoastal song.”
