  • JORDAN DAVIS BALANCING LIFE AND CAREER WITH THREE CHILDREN.

Jordan Davis is living out his recent multi-week No. 1 song, “Next Thing You Know.” He says now being the father of three children really amplified the idea for “Next Thing You Know,” which he co-wrote with Greylan James, Chase McGill and Josh Osborne.

“Life’s pretty crazy right now, especially in like where we’re at in the touring season. I mean, it’s just like the throes of touring, so it’s like you’re gone from home 100+ dates, most of the time 150, and that’s half the year you don’t get to see the kiddos,” says Jordan. “And I think too, even my son who’s about to turn two, they change so much in this era, in that first year of life, you know and now the second. You leave for a week, you come back and he’s got five new words. It just changes so quick, and you can’t get those moments back. Baby number three kind of heightened the antennas for an idea like ‘Next Thing You Know,’ my kids are gonna be 18 and going to college.”

Jordan and his wife Kristen, who were married in 2017, are the proud parents of Eloise (3 1/2), Locklan (almost 2) and two-month old Elijah.

In other news, Jordan just released his new single “Tucson Too Late” from his Bluebird Days album and will kick off his headlining Damn Good Time Tour on August 31st in Atlanta. His opening acts on select dates include Avery Anna, Gabby Barrett, Danielle Bradberry, Flatland Calvary, Greylan James, Dylan Marlowe, Kameron Marlowe, Mike Ryan, Connor Smith and Georgia Webster.

Audio / At his recent No. 1 party for "Next Thing You Know," Jordan Davis said welcoming his third child really heightened the idea for the song.

  • JORDAN DAVIS RELEASES OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO FOR “TUCSON TOO LATE.”

Jordan Davis released the official music video for his new single, “Tucson Too Late.” The Louisiana native co-wrote the follow-up to his recent multi-week No. 1 “Next Thing You Know” with his brother Jacob Davis and brothers Josh and Matt Jenkins, the same dream team behind “Buy Dirt.”

He says of the song inspired by Keith Whitley’s “Miami, My Amy,” “I really like the way we kept this very simple, we let the lyrics speak, we tried to really just kinda make the listener feel the kinda worry that this guy was going through trying to get this girl back, and I think Paul (DiGiovanni) absolutely nailed the production on it in letting the vocals speak and letting the lyrics shine. And I think too, like it’s something that I’ve never done. I don’t think I’ve ever released a song that is as maybe traditional as this one. You know, stuff like this is what I grew up on. Being able to have a song like this out that has this kinda feel, I don’t know, for me it’s fun.”

Click HERE for audio and liners.

Jordan will perform his new single when he performs in in Salt Lake City on Friday (August 11th) and in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Saturday (August 12th) on Dierks Bentley’s Gravel & Gold Tour.

Jordan is set to kick off his own headlining Damn Good Time Tour August 31st in Atlanta, Georgia.

“So, ‘Tucson Too Late,’ another song I wrote with Jacob, Matt, and Josh, the ‘Buy Dirt’ squad. I write more with them more than I write with anybody. I think it’s cool for us, every time we get together it like, what can we do, what have we not done, what is something that we can try to write today that’ll challenge us that’s different? And I remember talking about (Keith Whitley’s) ‘Miami, My Amy,’ you know how that song just grabs you, and as you can tell, out of that conversation came ‘Tuscon Too Late.’ I really like the way we kept this very simple, we let the lyrics speak, we tried to really just kinda make the listener feel the kinda worry that this guy was going through trying to get this girl back, and I think Paul absolutely nailed the production on it in letting the vocals speak and letting the lyrics shine.
