Luke Bryan appeared on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week, and the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year talked about his upcoming Proud to Be Right Here Tour, being confused for Blake Shelton and the latest season of American Idol.

Luke and Jimmy also attempted a social-distancing version of the show’s whisper challenge, where they take turns guessing the titles of random songs while wearing noise-canceling headphones.

The first commercial filmed on a live virtual set, “Stay Fabulous” sets a new standard for Las Vegas resort advertising. Utilizing the most sophisticated virtual set designs, the video merges virtual reality and CGI elements, using game-engine technologies to blur the line between the physical and digital worlds. “Stay Fabulous” marks the first time this technology – previously only used in the production of The Mandalorian and The Jungle Book – has been deployed in a large-scale commercial shoot.

Despite sharing news he is currently in quarantine with COVID 19, Luke Bryan and the team at UMG Nashville do have something to celebrate today with the out-of-the-gate success of his brand new single “Waves” as it tallies the most adds at country radio its debut week. Luke Bryan just released his brand new single, “Waves,” this morning (April 9th). The song, written by Zach Crowell, Ryan Hurd and Chase McGill, is featured on the deluxe edition of his album, BORN HERE LIVE HERE DIE HERE, which is available today.

He immediately gravitated toward the song the moment he heard it. “’Waves’ is a song about kids falling in love during the summer and just all the images and everything about just how beautiful that summer love is and how the emotions just keep coming in waves,” he says. “‘Waves’ is kind of a play on words, and I feel in love with the song the second I heard it.”

BORN HERE LIVE HERE DIE HERE was originally set to release last April, but due to the pandemic the project was moved to August and debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, making it Luke’s sixth consecutive appearance in the top position. The album became his eleventh top 10 album on Billboard’s Top 200 since his first appearance with 2009’s DOIN’ MY THING.
