“It’s our 10th anniversary of the Farm Tour. We’ve been able to have a lot of amazing memories and we’ve been able to give some scholarships to kids through the Farm Tour. You know, there’s nothing better than watching 15, 20,000 people in a hayfield have fun and listen to country music.”

Luke Bryan (Farm Tour 2018) 2 OC: …every year. :56
“We’ve laid out of Georgia a couple of years, and my Georgia crowd they were not happy about that, so we finally got one back in Ringgold. We’ve got Chase Rice out, we’ve got the Peach Pickers and we’ve got Jon Langston on all the shows. And yeah, we’re doing the first one ever in Ohio. We’re in Illinois this year. We’re in Iowa, and then we’re down in Florida also. So, we do Florida, North Augusta in South Carolina and then we do Georgia. So, we kinda got the Southeast handled, and we got the Midwest handled. So, we like to just spread ‘em around and we may lay out of Iowa one year and then go down to Nebraska. We just kinda keep it fun. We did eight shows a year for a long time, and we learned that was a lot of work and I didn’t really sound good on the last, on the eighth, the seventh and eighth show I was pretty tired. So, we just trimmed it back to six, and it makes it fun and fresh and we love the Farm Tour every year.”

  • LUKE BRYAN SCORES A SECOND WEEK AT NO. 1 WITH “SUNRISE, SUNBURN, SUNSET.”

Luke Bryan has scored a second week at the top of the country charts with his latest smash, “Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset.” The song, written by Zach Crowell, Ryan Hurd and Chase McGill, is the follow up to Luke’s 20th career No. 1 single “Most People Are Good,” which held the top spot for three weeks.

“The guys that wrote it, Ryan Hurd and Zack Crowell and Chase McGill, just knocked it out of the park,” says Luke. “You hear that title so much it just sticks with you, and the second verse is something that’s just truly amazing. They painted so many wonderful pictures of youth and young love and thinking about them out there on a boat dock playing music, passing a bottle around. And it’s just one of my favorite songs, one of my most favorite songs I’ve ever recorded.”

Luke continues his What Makes You Country Tour on Wednesday (September 19th) and kicks off his Farm Tour 2018, with Jon Langston, September 27th in Irwin, Ohio.

  • LUKE BRYAN WANTED TO HELP MAKE THINGS HAPPEN FOR NEWCOMER JON LANGSTON.

Luke Bryan announced his own record label, 32 Bridge Entertainment, under his own record company, UMG Nashville, last week. His first signing is Jon Langston who was brought to town by songwriter (and a member of the Peach Pickers) Rhett Akins. Luke kept hearing great things about Jon and says he felt the need to sign him.

“I woke up one day and he put a song out and it was No. 1 on iTunes for five days, and this kid was unsigned. He came out on Farm Tour and just gave a ton of energy, did a great show, and I just looked him in the eye and said, ‘I don’t know how I’m gonna make this happen, but quit worrying about getting a record deal. We’re gonna make sure you get a record deal and we’re gonna make stuff happen.’ I didn’t have anything planned,” says Luke. “You know, sometimes you have to do some things and not be worried to fail, and he’s in it for the right reasons. He loves making music. He loves the fans. He’s out there working his tail off, and he’s growing every day. Every day, he gets better and better. It’s just really, really fun to see somebody going about it in all the right ways, and if I can’t put my name on the line for Jon Langston then…it felt like something I had to do, and it’s so fun.”

Luke, whose latest song “Sunrise, Sunburn, Sunset” is sitting at No. 1 on the country charts, continues his What Makes You Country Tour on Wednesday (September 19th) and kicks off his Farm Tour 2018, with Jon Langston, September 27th in Irwin, Ohio.

“The ability to start a record label through my record label is such a dream come true for me, and it allows me to see these kids and just sign ‘em. If you love ‘em, sign ‘em. Trust your heart and sign ‘em. And Jon Langston kinda came to town through Rhett Akins and Jon lived with Rhett, and I’ve been watching Jon and I’ve been hearing about Jon and about his following down in Georgia. It’s very similar to what I had going on.”

“My hometown is more than a place for me.  It is a way of life,” shared Luke. “Growing up in South Georgia has had such an impact on me in so many ways and I’m so glad that this group of amazing artists and writers are able to come back home and help those who have been hit by such devastation over the past couple of years.”
“Albany is my home,” shared Phillips. “I have traveled near and far, but always come back home. This is where my family is and where I planted my roots. I was home on January 22, 2017, when the tornado ravaged our area and surrounding areas. I was able to get out that night and in the days following to serve alongside my community, seeing the true heart of our city. I am honored to have the opportunity now to play this special show.”
“When I was asked to be a part of this event I didn’t hesitate,” said Cole. “Even though I get to travel the country doing what I love day after day there is nothing that gives me a sense of recharging than coming back home to South Georgia and being around the people who helped get me here. Being able to give back in some small way means the world to me.”
Dallas Davidson of The Peach Pickers said, “I’m extremely excited to be a part of The Heart of South Georgia show. It’s an honor to be able to give back to a town that gave me so much. No matter where I am I always take a piece of Albany, Georgia with me.”
