Darius Rucker is set to perform during NBC’s Today Show Summer Concert Series on Friday (August 28th).

Lady Antebellum will take over CMT this weekend, starting with CMT Hot 20 Countdown on Saturday (August 29th) at 9am ET. Cameras caught the trio at Virginia Beach on their Wheels Up 2015 Tour with opening acts Sam Hunt and Hunter Hayes. Then at 12pm ET, CMT will premiere the band’s third live DVD release. The full-length program will be available on DVD and blu-ray, with a deluxe version at Walmart, November 13th.

Jon Pardi took to his Twitter to announce the newest addition to his family, Augustus. The pup, otherwise known as “Gus,” joins Jon’s other dog, “Cowboy.” The two dogs are actually related — Gus is Cowboy’s nephew.

Luke Bryan is spending a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with Kill the Lights. The album sold more than 99,000 copies to land at the top of both the overall and country album charts. It debuted last week at No. 1 with 345,000 copies.

Kill the Lights is the first country album to debut at No. 1 and spend more than one week there in two years. The feat last occurred with his previous album, Crash My Party in 2013.

Luke says, especially with his latest album, he’s become a better recording artist. ““I was having a blast singing these songs and always pushing myself vocally to become a better recording artist,” says Luke. “Up until maybe Crash My Party and this album, I’ve always felt like a live singer. Now I feel like I’ve become an even more solid recording artist.”

Luke is “killing” it on the country charts with his latest single, “Strip It Down.”

Luke Bryan’s Kill the Lights has debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 200 album chart with more than 345,000 copies sold, according to Billboard. The collection, Luke’s fifth studio album, is the third-largest week of 2015 for album sales (the only one’s larger are the debuts of Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late at 535,000 in overall units and Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly at 363,000 units).

Kill The Lights’ is also the largest sales week for a country album in three years — since Luke’s last full album, Crash My Party, which bowed at No. 1 with 528,000 in August of 2013. This is Luke’s third consecutive album to debut at #1 on the Billboard Top 200.

Kill the Lights was produced by Jeff Stevens and Jody Stevens and contains 13 songs, six of which were co-written by Luke including the title track.

Luke Bryan has released the follow-up to his current No. 1 single, “Kick the Dust Up.” The sultry “Strip It Down,” which he co-wrote with Ross Copperman and Jon Nite, is starting to hit the airwaves, just in time for Friday’s release of his new album, Kill the Lights.

The Georgia native says he’s never really recorded a song like “Strip It Down.” “I’m five albums in. This is my fifth album and I’ve never really done like that slow dance, take your girl and have a big ole, big ole night of romance and all that, and ‘Strip It Down’ kind of does that and I’m interested to see how the fans react to that. I think I got a good picture in my mind of how it’s going to go and I’m excited to see all of that transpire. But I do feel like ‘Strip It Down’ is a really, really special moment on the CD and I don’t think three years ago I could have delivered a song like ‘Strip It Down’ like I wanted to, but it felt right the way we wrote it.”
