• THE WAR AND TREATY AND SHANIA TWAIN WILL PERFORM AT THE 2024 MUSICARES PERSON OF THE YEAR TRIBUTE HONORING JON BON JOVI.

    The War And Treaty and Shania Twain will perform at this year’s MusiCares Person of the Year benefit gala honoring Jon Bon Jovi on February 2nd, a couple of days before the GRAMMY Awards. The event will be hosted by comedian Jim Gaffigan with presenters Gayle King and Kylie Minogue.

    This year’s tribute, taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center, will also include performances by Bon Jovi, Melissa Etheridge, Jason Isbell, Bruce Springsteen, Brandy Clark, Damiano David of Måneskin, Goo Goo Dolls, Jelly Roll, Marcus King and Lainey Wilson.

    The Person of the Year event raises funds for MusiCares’ services throughout the year and to celebrate the philanthropy and impact of music legends. Since 1991, money raised from this gala has gone toward providing essential support for MusiCares programs and services assisting the music community in times of need, including physical and mental health, addiction recovery, preventive clinics, unforeseen personal emergencies, and disaster relief.

    Jon Bon Jovi joins previous MusiCares honorees including Dolly Parton, Barry Gordy, Smokey Robinson, Joni Mitchell, Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith, Aretha Franklin, Lionel Richie, Carole King and many other legendary performers.

    Anne Wilson has been named to CMT’s Next Women of Country Class of 2024, and she says she’s “overwhelmed with gratitude to be a part of this year’s CMT Next Women of Country” and “It’s truly an honor that I don’t take lightly. My love for Country Music and the beautiful community of artists in it is immense.” The initiative, launched in 2013, helps promote new female country artists with support for their music and videos across multiple platforms, including CMT, CMT Music, CMT Hot 20 Countdown, cmt.com, the network’s socials, Billboards and more.     Chris Stapleton is among the headliners for this year’s New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Fest. Additional headliners include the Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Neil Young and Crazy Horse and Vampire Weekend.     Talk about “this is livin’,” Dierks Bentley certainly knows how to do that with family and friends. During Nashville’s snowstorm that dropped up to eight inches in places and with temperatures dipping below -5 (or more), the “Living” singer had his son Knox and the neighborhood kids playing pond hockey and taking a nature walk in the woods in the snow (see Instagram posts below).

  • THE WAR AND TREATY PERFORM WITH CHARLIE PUTH DURING THE IN MEMORIAM SEGMENT OF THIS YEAR’S EMMY AWARDS.

    The War And Treaty performed during Monday night’s (January 15th) 75th Emmy Awards with award-winning singer, songwriter and producer Charlie Puth. The trio sang a poignant version of the Friends theme song, “I’ll Be There For You,” during the show’s In Memoriam segment paying tribute to such iconic figures as actress Cindy Williams, game show host Bob Barker, singer-actress Irene Cara, actor Paul Reubens (aka Pee Wee Herman), performer Tommy Smothers, actress Kirstie Alley, actor Andre Braugher, performer Harry Belafonte, actor Alan Arkin, journalist Barbara Walters and ending the segment with Friends actor Matthew Perry, all of whom passed away in 2023.

     

     

    The soulful husband-wife duo are nominated for two GRAMMY Awards this year — overall Best New Artist and Best Americana Roots Song for “Blank Page.”

Proceeds will benefit epidermolysis bullosa research. Actor Leslie Jordan, who made his way into everyone’s hearts with his social posts during the pandemic, died suddenly from cardiac dysfunction while driving in October 2022.

     

    NOW That’s What I Call Country Classics 70s will be the latest installment in the popular NOW series and the 5th in the Country Classics series. The project, a joint venture between Universal Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment, will be available on both CD and vinyl on March 1st.   • THE WAR AND TREATY TO PERFORM AT WWE’S TRIBUTE TO THE TROOPS.

    WWE, part of TKO Group Holdings (NYSE: TKO), today announced that The War And Treaty will perform God Bless America at the 21st annual Tribute to the Troops, which airs Friday, December 8 at 8 p.m. ET on FOX. The event will take place in Providence, R.I. at Amica Mutual Pavilion. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster.

    Mickey Guyton and Maddie & Tae performed during Thursday night’s (November 30th) National Christmas Tree Lighting on the Ellipse, on the grounds of the White House in Washington, D.C. Mickey, who hosted the ceremony, also helped President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden flip the switch to light the tree. The ceremony dates back to President Calvin Coolidge in 1923 to kick off Holiday celebrations in the Nation’s Capital.

    Kacey Musgraves performed an achingly beautiful rendition of “Can’t Help Falling In Love” during the NBC special, Christmas at Graceland, in the first-ever live concert from Elvis Presley’s iconic home earlier this week. Other performers included Post Malone, Lainey Wilson, Kane Brown, John Legend and Lana del Ray, and also featured never-before-seen home movies and photos. Elvis’ granddaughter, Riley Keough, hosted the event.

    The War And Treaty (Michael and Tanya Trotter) performed a powerfully stunning version of “If I Can Dream” during the special. Elvis performed the song at the end of his famous ’68 Special to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who was killed in Memphis just a few months prior.

    Alan Jackson, Brothers Osborne, Chris Stapleton, Jordan Davis and others have donated items to The ASCAP Foundation’s annual online auction.
