• NEWS AND NOTES: Reba McEntire, Eric Church, Brad Paisley, Maddie & Tae, Tyler Hubbard, Keith Urban, Darius Rucker, Anne Wilson

Reba McEntire surprised attendees at this past weekend’s Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California when she walked out during Miranda Lambert’s set. They performed Miranda’s hits “Mama’s Broken Heart” and “Gunpowder and Lead,” as well as Reba’s “Fancy.”

Eric Church headlined Stagecoach on Friday (April 26th) and was backed by a full church choir.

Brad Paisley surprised the Stagecoach crowd when he came out during Post Malone‘s ’90s country set during the festival over the weekend. They performed Brad’s hit “I’m Gonna Miss Her,” which Posty covered in a viral moment a couple of years ago.

While Maddie & Tae performed their own electric set, they also came out during Jelly Roll’s set to perform a new song together, “Fire.”

Tyler Hubbard‘s “Back Then Right Now” is spending its second week at the top of the Canadian Country chart this week. The song is from his latest album, Strong, which was released earlier this month.

Keith Urban‘s Oscar-winning wife, Nicole Kidman, was honored at the 49th AFI (American Film Institute) Life Achievement Award Gala held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Saturday (April 27th). Keith, their two daughters Sunday and Faith, Nicole’s sister Antonia and her niece Sybella were also in attendance, as well as celebrity friends Reese Witherspoon, Naomi Watts, Michelle Pfeiffer, Miles Teller, Morgan Freeman, Mike Myers and many more.

Darius Rucker is squeezing in some sightseeing while he’s on his European tour. A big Peaky Blinders fan, he stopped by “Uncle Charlie’s Yard” — one of the locations on popular Netflix series — to snap a pic.

Anne Wilson appeared on the God’s Country podcast with songwriting brothers Dan and Reid Isbell to talk about her new album, REBEL, as well as perform a snippet of Morgan Wallen’s “Sand In My Boots.” Check it out below.

  • TYLER HUBBARD RELEASES SOPHOMORE SOLO ALBUM, STRONG.

Today via EMI Nashville, Hubbard continues forging his path as a solo artist with his sophomore album Strong, further cementing his position as a staple in country music.

    LISTEN TO STRONG | HERE

Hubbard co-produced the album alongside Jordan Schmidt, and he wrote or co-wrote each of the 13 tracks. The result is a dynamic and vibrant collection of songs that showcase Hubbard’s free-spirited energy and his ability to craft songs that highlight life’s most memorable moments.

On Strong, the 21-time No. 1 hitmaker finds magic in young love on spirited tracks including “Park” and “BNA,” embraces the good times on “American Mellencamp” and “Night Like That,” and displays his passion for family and fatherhood on songs such as “‘73 Beetle” and the title track.

Tyler Hubbard (hopes for fans listening to Strong) OC:
take with them. 1:03
“I think with any album, I think my hope is that they get to know me a better through the songs, but also get to know theirselves a bit better. You know, a lot of these songs for me were very self-discovery, if you will. A lot of self-discovery going on when you’re opening yourself up and you’re being vulnerable. And yes, some of these songs are fun and some of these songs are less vulnerable and just sort of like lighthearted and not anything we need to overthink, but then some of these songs are super real, super vulnerable, super authentic, and I think that’s a fun place to kind of go as a creative and I think it’s fun to challenge my fans to kind of do the same thing and look a little deeper into who they are and explore what makes ‘em tick a little bit, what makes ‘em go. So, I hope it does that for them. I also just hope brings people joy. I think there’s a lot of fun on this album. I think there’s a lot of joy in my heart, in my spirit, for my life and for my family, and I hope that it overflows into my music and I hope people hear the album or come to a live show, I hope they leave feeling kind of filled up with joy and just made a good memory that they can take with them.”

  • TYLER HUBBARD FEELS VERY STRONG ABOUT HIS NEW ALBUM.

Tyler Hubbard’s new album, Strong, drops on Friday (April 12th), and one word kept popping up while writing and recording the project.

“It kind of came organically in a funny way where we kept referring to everything, well, that’s a strong take or that’s a strong mix or man, that’s a really strong song for this next album, or that’s a strong photo or whatever,” says the Georgia native. “And as we were trying to title this project, we just kept saying that and finally, I’m just like, ‘Guys, why don’t we just call it Strong? You know, it feels like it’s overall pretty strong project. I would confidently say that I’m proud of it, and I love the heart behind the actual song and I love the depth of the word strong, so let’s just roll with that and see where it goes.’ So, it felt right.”

Tyler co-produced the project alongside Jordan Schmidt and wrote or co-wrote all 13 songs on the album, including his Top 5 hit, “Back Then Right Now.”

  • TYLER HUBBARD SET TO RELEASE NEW STRONG ALBUM THIS WEEK.

Tyler Hubbard is getting ready to release his second solo album, Strong, this Friday (April 12th), and he says that his album was created the opposite way as his self-titled debut solo album.

“I would definitely say this whole album was somewhat reverse engineered, you know? Created to play live, created from the live show, as opposed to create it and then figure out how to turn that into a show, right, into a set list,” says Tyler. “So, it was a lot of fun in that way, and I think that being last year was really the first time I got to start meeting my fans after putting out my debut album in January (2023). It was really a time of really getting to know my audience, getting to know my fans, seeing who’s coming to the shows, seeing who’s listening to my music. And I know I didn’t meet everybody, but I was really starting to get to know who my fans were, and so that really helped when it came to not only writing these songs but picking songs for this project.”

The Georgia native co-produced the project alongside Jordan Schmidt and wrote or co-wrote all 13 songs on the album, including his Top 5 hit, “Back Then Right Now.”

Tyler performs at the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday (April 9th) and then is back on the road with Kane Brown on his In The Air Tour on Thursday (April 11th) in Kansas City, Missouri.

Audio / Tyler Hubbard says Strong was reverse engineered from the way his debut solo album was written and recorded.

  • TYLER HUBBARD READY TO HIT THE ROAD WITH PAL KANE BROWN.

Tyler Hubbard is experiencing a full circle moment going out with Kane Brown on his In the Air Tour. Years ago when Kane was just starting out, he opened for Florida Georgia Line, and now as a solo artist, Tyler is heading out as direct support for Kane’s massive tour.

“I’ve known Kane (Brown) for a while, you know? He actually opened up for us (Florida Georgia Line) five or six years ago, seven years ago, we were one of his first tours, and I remember a fun story,” Tyler recalls. “Like one of our first shows together, I was out shooting basketball with him, just hanging out and kinda getting to know him, and I was asking him, ‘How long you been doing this? Like, how long have you been playing shows and stuff?’ He was like, ‘This is my sixth show, ever.’ I was like, ‘Dude-six? Like six?’ He was like, ‘Yeah.’ I’m like, ‘Okay buddy, well, good luck! (laughs) There’s only 30-thousand people out there, so
good luck.”

He adds, “It was incredible to watch him take on the challenge and grow a ton on that tour and now it’s full circle. Now I’m getting to open up for him and I’ve watched him play and I’m just like, ‘Wow!’ He’s really grown into something special and he’s just an awesome dude. He’s a great artist. I think he has really found himself and knows who he is and what he wants to be. It’s just cool to see, because it’s not every day that you have that story and not every day that you get to see artists kind of keep it together and be consistent and put out great music and maintain a family and do what he’s doing. So, a lot of love for Kane. I’m excited to be back out with him, and I know we’re going to have a good time.”

Tyler is out with Kane for most of trek, and his dates, which begins with the launch of the tour on Thursday (March 28th) in Charlottsville, Virginia, currently run through June 7th in Raleigh, North Carolina. He will rejoins Kane at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on August 24th.

Jon Pardi, Chris Young, Bailey Zimmerman, Parmalee, Jackson Dean and others will also join Kane on select dates.

Tyler is currently making his way to the top of the country charts with his latest single, “Back Then Right Now,” from his upcoming album, Strong.

Like, how long have you been playing shows and stuff?’ He was like, ‘This is my sixth show, ever.’ I was like, ‘Dude-six? Like six?’ He was like, ‘Yeah.’ I’m like, ‘Okay buddy, well, good luck! (laughs) There’s only 30-thousand people out there, so
good luck.”

Tyler Hubbard (Kane Brown tour) 2 OC:
a good time. :39
“It was incredible to watch him take on the challenge and grow a ton on that tour and now it’s full circle.
